I might be the only one but she was very articulate and honest in that post. Everything she said was the truth and atleast it was her honest opinion. I'm not sure we have reached the point where America can handle this kind of brutal honesty from a black woman.

While the post is very articulate and has a lot of truth to it, this is really about her not paying her taxes and she somehow turned it into racism.

She told no lies. That said, you don't have to agree with the law, but if you don't follow it, don't be surprised if it follows (and catches) you.

I have to rephrase while I agree with her the only part I disagree is that regardless of the past we must treat everyone in a fair way unless proven otherwise.

Hopefully her time in Prison will inspire her to get back to doing what she was good at. Real Rap meets Hip Hop music. Ain't nobody got time for her current fast spoken mess

Hoping this inspires her to get back to basics and follow up her one tremendous album with something worthwhile.

At this point I'll be happy with a 15th Anniversary Edition of the Miseducation album.

Lauryn Hill Will Go On Tour Instead Of Starting Home DetentionNow that three months of jail time have passed and she's a free woman (sort of), Lauryn Hill is ready to take her show on the road. A judge has reportedly okayed Lauryn Hill's to postpone her home detention and revitalize her career. Instead of beginning the next phase of her sentence for tax evasion -- three months of home detention -- the Hill will be going on tour. According to TMZ, a judge has okayed her request to first go on tour from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31 to revive her career. The singer/rapper/actress must seek approval of each tour stop from her probation officer. Lauryn's already released a little taste of what's to come with her new song "Consumerism." Check back for more info on tour dates and locations. www.vibe.com/article/lauryn-hill-will-go-tour-instead-starting-home-detention

She really is finished, huh? This is tragic because I thought at least she could give us a classic hip-hop album since her singing days seem to be over. SMDH

I don't think she's done yet. I think whatever she puts out after this point is going to be weird, but I do think we will get another album from her at some point.
I'd say she's crazy, but there's a little bit of genius in her crazy - even Consumerism.

Her voice is done, though, and nothing else really matters.

Everything is gone. I can't even believe there's a single person holding out hope after all these years like she didn't go off the deep end over a decade ago.

Lauryn Hill Reschedules, Adds Upcoming Tour Dates
The singer reschedules shows in New York and New Jersey, while adding Georgia, North Carolina and Florida dates Lauryn Hill has rescheduled multiple dates of her current tour, with additional concerts added, Billboard confirmed today (Dec. 20). The R&B singer has had to postpone three shows -- Huntington, N.Y., Port Chester, N.Y., and Red Bank, N.J. -- that were originally set to take place next week. Instead, the concerts will occur in late January and early February. Reasons for the postponements were not given. Additionally, Hill's camp announced three new shows for February, with dates in Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Ga., and Miami, Fla. -- the latter of which as part of the 9 Mile Music Festival. Hill is currently touring for the first time since her release from prison last October, having served a three-month sentence for tax evasion. A full list of dates -- rescheduled and added -- are below. Jan. 26 - Huntington, N.Y. (The Paramount) Jan. 31 - Port Chester, N.Y. (The Capitol Theatre) Feb. 7 - Red Bank, N.J. (Count Basie Theatre) Feb. 11 - Charlotte, N.C. (The Fillmore) Feb. 13 - Atlanta, Ga. (The Tabernacle) Feb. 15 - Miami, Fla. Lauryn Hill served as the headliner for “Rock! Like A Girl”Over the weekend Lauryn Hill hit the stage at Beverly Bond’s “Rock! Like A Girl” concert series. After clearing up more tax rumors, former Fugees singer Lauryn Hill served as the headliner for “Rock! Like A Girl” concert series on Saturday in Washington, D.C. at The Kennedy Center.“Black Girls Rock!” creator Beverly Bonds created “Rock! Like A Girl,” a concert and conversation series gathering some of entertainment’s biggest female names. Legendary raptress MC Lyte hosted the event along with local and national artists who performed in the honor of women everywhere. Ms. Hill and MC Lyte talked backstage. Lyte captioned, “Backstage at one of the most historic events for Women and music. Been a minute since I've seen my sister Lauryn Hill but it's always like a day has never passed. L Boogie blew the stage off the hinges!!! Amazing event @djbeverlybond #onemic #rocklikeagirl #herstory big ups to ALL the women who rocked the house tonight. Let's push our mission forth!!!”

s**t. I thought my Alma Mater's Spring Weekend was next weekend! Ugh. I'm too old to be going back for the insanity anyway but I was curious about this year's when I found out Lauryn Hill was a headliner. I gotta see some videos.
