Pat Leonard would be a tremendous thing, but I woudln't expect a return just yet. What William Orbit and M did on ROL was fantasirc, and more collabos in the futur wouldn't be bad, either. Not sure what to expect from an M-Lenny Kravitz collabo. Well, Lenny is Rock and M is Electronica, so maybe they will combine those influences and do something Industrial? Or maybe a whole dance-rock hybrid sound.

Orbit would be fantastic but highly unlikely. For her next album, I think she's going for round two with the white duck

Anyway, AL was Folktronica, which is described as Electronica mixed with acoustic instruments.

New Music in 2007. These days everybody wants to know when Madonna will release new music. Several rumours surfaced on the net and international papers about a new single and even a new album to be released before the end of 2006.
Anyway, Drowned Madonna has learned that at the moment the real plans say that we have to wait for 2007 for new music.. a new album.

The SunMABBA November 11, 2006 MADONNA is working with ABBA legends AGNETHA FALTSKOG and FRIDA LYNGSTAD on tracks for her new album. Abba fan Madge is deep in discussions with the pair about recording together on her follow-up to No1 album Confessions On A Dance Floor. And even though Agnetha has lived like a virtual recluse and Frida hung up her high-heeled platform shoes years ago β they have agreed to go into the studio. This will be a truly massive collaboration of the music monarchy β The Queen Of Pop and the original Dancing Queens joining forces. It should be a sure-fire hit if Madge, seen going to the movies in Londonβs Mayfair, chooses to release their joint studio efforts as a single. A source said: βMadonna has been in contact with Agnetha and Frida for a few months. βMadonna was the driving force behind the idea because she was so happy with her sample of Gimme Gimme Gimme on Hung Up. βAgnetha and Frida loved it, they really warmed to Madonna for rejuvenating one of their most famous tracks.β My source revealed they will write and record together as soon as Madge, her producing partner STUART PRICE and the ex Abba girls are all free. Abba fellas BJORN ULVAEUS and BENNY ANDERSSON will not be involved but are believed to have given the plans the thumbs up. Madonna made music history while writing Confessions together with Price, becoming the first artist ever to get permission to remix and sample an Abba track. At the time she said: βI had to send my emissary to Stockholm with a letter and the record begging them and imploring them and telling them how much I worship their music, telling them it was a homage to them, which is all true. βThey could have said no. Thank God they didnβt.β Earlier this week I revealed Madonna provided a message on the sleevenotes for the Swedish supergroupβs Greatest Hits, which hit the shops on Monday. She wrote: βAbbaβs timeless music continues to inspire me. Itβs joyous. Standing still when you hear Abba is impossible. βWhen I started recording my Confessions On A Dance Floor album, Stuart Price and I played their music constantly. Hung Up is my homage to their contribution to music.β Madge is also working on fresh material with her ex LENNY KRAVITZ. Price, Kravitz, Abba and Madge? Itβs safe to say that will be another Madonna No1 album then . . .

Price, Kravitz, Abba and Madge? Itβs safe to say that will be another Madonna No1 album then . . . That could be really cool. I'm wondering if Lenny will do a duet or something with Madge. I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen, but it would be nice.

Maybe the stuff with ABBA might not be the typical ABBA sound, but their stuff was generally quite catchy and stuff so that might be what will be reflected in the music done in those sessions. You think all this David uproar is postponing her recording plans? She'll probably find a way to work on it gradually. She has managed to balance her family and her career in the past. She did go on tour in 2001, just barely a year after she had given birth to Rocco. I think the new album will probably be released in either the end of 2007 (November/December-ish) or early 2008 (January/February-ish). But it still might be too early to guess that. All sorts of stuff could change and happen during the next few months and it may get delayed.

LOL Madonna and ABBA is about as (gay)disco as you get lol .. they could fart & hum the song and it would reek of discolol. it has 'camp' written all over it .. and I for one, am intrigued!!!! I'm still hopin' and wishin' for her senses to comeback and do something with Orbit!!!!

I would like more fun music from madonna but something more contemporary and modern with a slight edge. I dont want any disco, techno, or electro music on the next album. enough is enough.

I have to agree with Where Life Begins - Madonna may not have the best voice, but her ballads are great. Actually I prefer her ballads to the uptempo stuff (I'm probably in the minority there). Her emotion on songs like Crazy For You, Live To Tell, Oh Father, Take A Bow, You'll See, I'll Remember, Power Of Goodbye, What It Feels Like For A Girl, Nothing Fails, etc. is so great. BRING BACK PATRICK LEONARD! ![:-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I'm with you on this.

I'd like it to be more experimental and with somballads. Her ballds are superb, and, though I am a clubbing maniac, COAD is by no means my favourite album (I like it, don't get me wrong).

DrownedMadonna
Abba's spokesperson denies the ABBA collaboration. The Sun reported a few days ago that Madonna was going to collaborate with ABBAΒ΄s singers, Frida and Agnetha.
However, according to a telegram that Swedish newspaper Aftonbladetjust published, there are no plans for this.
"I just spoke to Frida, and there are no plans for this", says ABBA's spokesperson GΓΆrel Hanser.

I'd like some ballads too. Not too many. I like the dance stuff too. However, some midtempo stuff that is in between the dance and the ballads would be nice too.
