Ooooh! This is actually the first bit of 'official' news that we've gotten in a long time. An actual date and an actual statement?! This definitely means some kind of performance. I'm stoked.

I thought there was a reunion thread. Wow, oh well.
I cant wait for this. When they release their greatest hits they better have the b-sides!! [ie; bumper 2 bumper, take me home, outer space girls, etc]
How much you wanna bet they will be at the Princess Diana event?

I know its been discussed several times, and some people think if it couldn't be done for LIVE 8 it will never be done (to get the girls back together) but this article states that they will go on a tour (without MEL C.), with a Greatest Hits album to follow in November. The Spice Girls will reform and play a reunion tour in November, it has been claimed. The groundbreaking girl band have been at the centre of speculation concerning a reformation for months, and now look set to confirm their comeback. However, according to the new reports, the group will embark on a tour without Melanie C, who is understood to be unhappy with the idea of a reunion and keen to continue pursuing a solo career. The November tour will include between ten and 12 dates and will be followed by a greatest hits album and a DVD, scheduled for the Christmas market, reports The Sun. Geri Halliwell is expected to feature in the group, alongside Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Emma Bunton, after she gives birth to her first child in May. uk.news.yahoo.com//060202/340/g2sns.html(And this was just posted today on Yahoo UK.)

Why ? is my only question ( ok i know the answer $$$$ ) and without Mel c is even worse because she is the only one in the group that have something to offer...ahh ok, emma is not that bad, her last cd has some good songs..

There's been talk of a reunion for years, this may or may not happen.

It will flop unless all 5 of them join back together. But I really think a "Greatest Hits" is overdue!!!

They've only had three CDs so unless they plan on including like 3 new songs, there's really no point...

Well they did have 7 hits on billboard.
Wanna Be My Lover #1 Say You'll Be There #3 2 Become 1 #4 Spice Up Your Life #18 Stop #16 Too Much #9 Goodbye #11
So They had 7 top 20 hits, not bad
Plus I'm sure they had other hits in Europe, like Holler was a single after Goodbye.
So that is enough, if Hilary Duff can released a greatest hits album, The Spice Girls can too.
im sure the album will be more promoted in Europe anyway, since U.S.A will not let go of boring hip/hop

yeah i remember hearing Holler on my local radio station, did it not chart here in the US? "Holler" did chart, but only reached #37 on the pop chart. It's too bad the other singles from the album flopped (I'm not sure which other ones they released since I never heard any of them). Four albums is the minimum for a Greatest Hits album, I think. I suppose each can contribute their biggest hit as a solo artist for the album to fill space. A reunion is really without a point if one of the members refuses to come back.

they should have enough songs to fill it in the UK at least - Wannabe - Say You'll Be There - 2 Become 1 - Mama - Who Do You Think You Are - Spice Up Your Life - Too Much - Stop - Viva Forever - Goodbye - Holler - Let Love Lead The Way
all #1 except for Stop which was #2 than add a bonus track or two maybe

Without MEL C, this is not full reunion and waste of time, as she was one of best singers!

Mel C. is actually doing really good her single "First Day of My Life" has gone to #1 in Germany and other European contries the last country it went to #1 was Switzerland i think the song is going to #1 everywhere in Europe except the UK that turned their back on her.

Well they did have 7 hits on billboard. Wanna Be My Lover #1 Say You'll Be There #3 2 Become 1 #4 Spice Up Your Life #18 Stop #16 Too Much #9 Goodbye #11 The Spice Girls have single sales to thank for the last four of those hits. If the chart methodology then was what it is now, those four songs would not be anywhere near as high.
