Feb 19, 5:44 PM EST Federline Says He's Ready for Backlash NEW YORK (AP) -- Kevin Federline is ready for a backlash over his brand-new role as white-boy rapper.
But it already can't get worse, the dancer and husband of pop star Britney Spears told Newsweek for its issue on newsstands Monday.
"'He hates his children, he treats his wife like dirt, he gets high all day,'" he said, quoting his critics. "If I was that bad, you think anyone, let alone Britney, would put up with it?"
He has released his single "PopoZao" on his Web site. It got 2 million hits in eight days, he said, which proves there's interest. He plans to release his debut album by this spring, but without featuring his wife on the album, said Federline, 27.
"We have collaborated," he said. "But I'm not going to put the songs on this album because it's like, 'Respect me first; then I'll show you what I've done with my wife.'"

Kevin Federline carefully puts on his boxers underneath his bath robe. And all while smoking a cig. Step One: Light up cig and pick boxers of choice. Step Two: Insert right leg. Repeat left leg. Step 3: Pull up and done. Now all the real work is done. hollywoodrag.com

Britney Hosts Kevin's Birthday Bash Thursday Mar 23, 2006 7:20am EST Britney Spears threw husband Kevin Federline a birthday party on Tuesday in his favorite city: Las Vegas, PEOPLE reports. The singer and Federline, who turned 28 on March 21, arrived just after 8:30 p.m. at the restaurant Tao Las Vegas at the Venetian, where they slipped in through the back door and joined their 10 guests in a private dining room. Spears (in a black halter dress with a low-cut back) drank a Cosmo, while K-Fed (in a wife-beater and a New York Yankees cap) went for a Jack and Coke, shots and beer. The group dined on sushi, chicken satay, lobster tempura and grilled Kobe beef, followed by cake served by two little people in tight dresses. "Kevin was wearing his ring even though Brit wasn't," says a witness. "They were being affectionate with each other. She sat on his lap for awhile. He fed her a bite of an appetizer. " By 10:30, Federline had finished opening his presents and the party headed to Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace, where Spears snuggled with the birthday boy on the club's VIP bed when she wasn't dancing barefoot to tunes spun by DJ Hollywood (she requested Prince). "They didn't leave each other's side all night," a clubgoer tells PEOPLE. "They danced together - Britney was doing all her famous dance moves. Toward the end of the night, they were all over each other - kissing and hugging, having a great time." The couple finally called it a night at around 2 a.m. Britney and Kevin in Las Vegas.

Come on he is going to be the best "white" rapper ever. Screw Vanilla Ice, forget about Eminem -- KFed is the real thing. I mean The Game worked with him. F** the media. hahhaahhaa

RADIO DAZE Kevin Federline rocks the mic, sort of, as a guest on a morning-radio show (Q 100.5) in Atlanta on Friday. Mr. Britney Spears was in town for a Saturday night appearance at the nightclub Vision. "It's unbelievable how high he ranked as a club draw," booker Chris Kappy told a local newspaper. "Only Paris Hilton ranked higher in the survey we did."

It is amusing that so little attention was focussed on Usher and Nelly being at Kevin's party. They are two pretty big stars. But then most stars fade into the background when Britney is there to hog the limelight. As well, should we be worried now that K-Fed has Usher's digits. :lol Britney, hubby inspire media frenzy at VisionBy RICHARD ELDREDGE and RODNEY HO | Monday, March 27, 2006, 02:13 AM The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Yes, that platinum ringleted blonde in the slinky red dress on Kevin Federline’s arm inside the VIP section early Sunday morning at Vision nightclub in Midtown was none other than Britney Spears. (See photos) The couple appeared at the club to celebrate Federline’s birthday. Dressed in a strategically angled white Braves cap and trademark white tanktop undergarment and two-day scruff on his face, Federline, who apparently now makes a living as rentable nightclub guest, and Spears arrived at the packed club around 12:45. On the red carpet outside the club, a unusual mix of legit press and tabloid shutterbugs, freshly imported for the evening, snapped away. The couple was quickly hustled inside to a velvet-roped-off table and black couches, where a very large stern man in a suit loomed. At the table, decanters filed with premium Belvedere vodka and Patron tequila, an ice bucket, plastic cups and a black plastic ashtray awaited the celeb mag cover couple of the moment. Disputing the current US Weekly “BRITNEY MOVES OUT!” screaming headline, the couple danced and gyrated together as Q100’s Jeff Dauler instructed the thousands of people on the dance floor to “Make some noise for K-Fed!” The DJ complied with an odd rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” which he attempted to scratch over with rhythmically uneven results. Grabbing the microphone, the cigarette-adorned Federline told the crowd: “We want to stay all [expletive] night long!” The large diamonds in both of his ears threatened to blind the crowd when the club’s lights hit them. Sighted or not, K-Fed’s dedication to his new work place elicited a huge cheer from club-goers. A few feet away, pop star Usher danced with friends in the VIP section with a glass of champagne. Earlier, the Alpharetta resident shared his digits with Federline, who promptly inserted them into his cell phone. In homage to the club’s celeb attendees, the DJ played Spears’ “Toxic” and Usher’s “Yeah!” Perhaps the most uncomfortable moment of the early morning arrived when the DJ mixed in a few bars from Spears-ex Justin Timberlake’s “Rock Your Body.” Scantily clad female admirers who hovered a little too close to the couple’s velvet rope, hoping to catch Federline’s eye, were greeted with a sudden Halogen-penlight flash to the retinas by security who asked them to please step back. Rapper Nelly, sans his always attractive facial Band-Aid accessory, was also spotted in the crowd. A little over an hour after their arrival, Spears, Federline and all the paparazzi hoopla ducked out of Vision.

Federline Moving Songs From The Lab To Clubs For Testing 03.28.2006 5:08 PM EST Mr. Spears picks hot title for debut album, plans promo tour for new tunes. Kevin Federline If you don't want to get burned when picking up Kevin Federline's debut album, you'd better be careful — Mr. Spears is Playing With Fire. That's right, K-Fed's finally figured out the disc's title, which he calls "self-explanatory."
"My album is sure to set the dance floors across the world on fire!" Federline said in a statement released Tuesday (March 28).And to help nudge it along, Federline's planning a promotional club tour, where, like his Saturday stop at the Vision club in Atlanta, he'll bring advance music for DJs to play so he can gauge fan reaction. "I'm excited about ... seeing the firsthand reaction of my fans listening to my songs for the first time," he said.[/b] He won't, however, be performing at any of these appearances. The dates for the promo tour are still in the works, but Federline's hoping to hit markets such as New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. While in each of those cities, K-Fed plans to do a few good deeds, as well. According to his rep, he's going to pick something different for each city, depending on local needs, from handing out toys in children's hospitals to helping out hurricane victims. Apparently his urge to help out started when he donated his hair to cancer patients through Locks of Love two weeks ago.Meanwhile, Federline is still trying to determine which song he'll shoot a video for, since he's got a more current single than his first song, "PopoZao" (see "Kevin Federline Says He Doesn't Care If You Don't Like Him"). The follow-up single, "For Real," attacks how he's been portrayed by the media. Also to be determined: how Federline will release his debut album, which he plans to put out in August. "He's weighing his options," Federline rep Marilyn Lopez said. MTV News

Mar 29, 2:12 PM EST Kevin Federline to Release Album in August NEW YORK (AP) -- Kevin Federline, aka Britney Spears' husband, is the proud father of another baby - his debut hip-hop album, "Playing With Fire."
The expected release date is August, said a spokeswoman for FYI Public Relations, which is promoting the album.
"The inspiration and meaning behind the title, "Playing With Fire," is self-explanatory," the 28-year-old Federline, known to some as K-Fed, said in a statement Tuesday.
"I'm excited about this album and am looking forward to continuing my promotional club tour in support of it and seeing the firsthand reaction of my fans listening to my songs for the first time," he said. "My album is sure to set the dance floors across the world on fire!" His first single, the critically slammed Brazilian groove "PopoZao," was released earlier this year through Yahoo Music Unlimited.

Kevin Cleans Up!K-Fed hangs up his wife-beaters for a modeling gig To promote his record release this August, rapper Kevin Federline, 28, submitted to a haircut, a shave and a wardrobe overhaul at a May photo shoot for Item magazine (out on June 5). After the makeover, he shared his philosophy on fatherhood, fame and fastfood. On the public: "I should just put a bulls-eye on my back. If I stay home and take care of my wife and my kids, then I'm a loafer, not a good father. If I try to have a career, nobody thinks I am caring for my family. I can't win." On rumors: "You'll never see that guy they say cheats or goes partying all the time. If I'm there and I'm out at a club, I am there for a reason. I am not there to mingle with women. All that s**t is done to me. I did that when I was 21." On his kids: "It's completely unfair when a child is brought into this world an now he's already looked at like a prince. My kids are going to have to learn what a real job is, what life is. You don't have it easy with me. Period....My kids are going to work at Taco Bell, dammit." On his image: "I wish people would ask me about my career. Usually it's, 'How's the wife and kids?' Not that I mind; that's my pride and joy. But it would be nice for people to look at me like an artist. The day they judge me as an artist, a CEO, as somebody, not Britney Spears' husband, that's the day I am looking forward to." On his media conspiracy theory: "The same day Dick Cheney shoots someone, they've got me on the cover of MSN [Web site]. It's life they're diverting attention from what's really going on."
