Has anyone seen the filtered acapella floating around anywhere?
There's a Benassi Remix Edit out now... It has some annoying sound in the beginning then goes into this random breakdown. It's pretty messy IMO.

Apparently a CD with 12 remixes on it including full mixes and edits has come out. Not sure why it only came out on CD, but there are a couple copies on eBay right now. Remixes include Tiesto Remixes, Doug Grayson Remixes, Tonal Remixes, Jason Nevins Remixes, Benny Benassi Remixes, and The Future President Remixes, and for some weird reason, the full mix and the edit to the Future Presidents Mixes are both the same exact times. The Tonal Deep End Remix isn't bad and would probably be the winner so far, but the ending seems incomplete, and it doesn't have the big note before the final chorus in it, so that ruined it for me. Havn't heard Benny's full mix, but the edit to me is horrible and possibly one of the worst mixes i've heard in a long time. I heard the Nevins Video Edit, and it's not hard hitting enough for me. If it was something along the lines of his Never Again mixes or maybe even his Wait For You mixes, it'd be good, but this is just too mediocre. Blah. I'd like to hear the Doug Grayson Mixes, but even more, i'd LOVE to hear the Tiesto mixes. Tiesto will hopefully nail it and be the best of the bunch, 'cause so far i'm not impressed.

Ok, Tiesto's mix was a complete and total let down. How moody and depressing. Definitely not the mix I'll be spinning of this.
I personally LoVe Benassi's take on this. The full club is a lot like the edit that surfaced earlier, but it's a banger for sure, and the tempo slow down doesn't sound as awkward in a 7 minute mix. Doug Grayson's mixes are interesting but ultimately boring, and I wonder how well they'd mix given the odd structure of the intro.
Nevins mix leaked earlier, but since it is a part of the remix package I have to say this is the most mainstream friendly of the mixes, not that we would expect anything less of Jason. I just wish there was a little more effort to it, especially since it's at 138 bpm, so it needs an extra little kick when I'm generally mixing at 126-134.
Then there's the Tonal mix. Didn't even bother listening to it when I got the package, then a friend mentioned it was his favorite of the set. That kick-beat on the drum/bass line is awesome, and it makes the chorus more of an anthem you want to sing a long too. It's between Benassi and this one for my favorite of the set. Tonal will be best for die hard fans of the original who don't want a standard mix. Overall an interesting set. It sounds like some DJs had a hard time mixing this one.

Okay, now THIS sounds like it would have been the remix to beat. This actually sounds like it could be epic and dancey done the right way. Why wasn't this on the CD with the 12 other mix/edits? After hearing the entire remix package, I am very dissapointed and hoping that other remixes are shipping to DJs, like this remix you just posted, 'cause something better needs to come out. This song deserves better. As for the remixer, i'm not sure who it is. It almost sounds like a combination of Dave Aude, Kaskade, and maybe The Passengerz. I dunno. It's really early in the morning and I just can't quite place the sound. I just know I really like the clip and would love to hear the full mix.

I TOTALLY AGREE - I've heard this mix on Pulse for at least a month now - and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT - I just wish I knew the title of it... Wow, out of all the great remixers we got for this track they are all pretty mediocre.
I dont even know what remix i like, they are all kinda just like my pulse screen name.
I wish Armand Van Helden would have remixed this and brought in some much needed grit to the remix.

I hope her voice isn't permanently damaged. She apparently is "battling an acute vocal cord hemorrhage." OMG, Friscia & Lamboy remixed No Air? Now we're talkin'! I have so gotta hear this? Is there anywhere online that it can be heard? Website, myspace page, anything? Even a really low quality version, I don't care, I just gotta hear this. I've been obsessed with this song for almost 5 months, and to hear a full or radio edit version of a Friscia & Lamboy Mix to this song would be above and beyond what I expected when I knew this was getting the remix treatment. Okay, i'll shut up now. LOL! Help me out, guys.

So does anybody know if the Friscia & Lamboy Mix or Edit is going to come out before the year's end, or ever at all in HQ, LQ, or any quality for that matter? LOL! Ever since I heard about this mix i've been waiting for it to come out and it never has. It so needs to. The other mixes were okay, but the clip I heard of the F&L edit was amazing. NEbody have any info on this?

a girl singing to chris brown "how am i supposed to breathe with no air" just seems in poor taste in light of recent events.........interestingly enough, tracy young has commented on her facebook that she no longer will play chris brown mixes. i applaude her I think I would be more impressed if she had said that she never would have played Chris Brown mixes in the first place. I think he has some catchy songs, but he is not meant for circuit parties. |
