Looks like they're really set on getting this album out. An end of the summer release would be perfect if the album comes out in October or November (Q4). "End of summer" is usually considered to be around Labor Day, so maybe they will try to get the album released in mid-November. Just speculating. Anyone here know what the average period is between first single release and an album's release?

It could even be as early as late October, Britney released Gimme More at the end of August and Blackout came out in late October. It all just depends.

Thanks for the info on digital sales Mikey! Does anyone know how UTTM from Idol Gives Back did in sales?
That number doesn't seem to shabby for a so called flop single! It isn't far behind BOY and HE IMO! LOL, the public are so easily swayed aren't they??

Man Uses Kelly Clarkson's Name To Steal TruckBy Elizabeth ScarboroughHOUSTON -- A man used a Texas-native pop star's name to con a Ford dealership out of a pickup truck, officials told KPRC Local 2 Thursday. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "He had made his appointment and kept it," said Officer Jim Woods with the Houston Police Department's Auto Theft Unit. "He said he was an associate of Kelly Clarkson."
That's right -- Kelly Clarkson, the first winner of "American Idol." She is originally from Burleson, Texas, near Fort Worth."He said she was in town looking to buy her sister a brand new Ford F-150," said Woods. "They showed it to him and he said that was exactly what she was looking for."Police said the man convinced the sales manager to drive the truck to the Westin Galleria hotel, so he could show the pop star her potential purchase in person. The man and the sales manager valet-parked the truck and went inside, detectives said."They sat there a few minutes, talked about the truck, then he got up and said he would go get Clarkson to have her take a look," said Woods. But he never came back. Police said the man took off with the truck, worth about $50,000."The guy was very smooth," said Woods.Smooth enough to also fool a woman who was staying in the Westin."He actually told her his name was Justin Gambino and that he was from New York," said Woods. She took this photo on her phone while they were spending some time together."When she got back to New York, she realized her credit card was missing. She immediately called it in as stolen and noticed there were several purchases made in Houston," said Woods. She said she hopes the photo will help get him caught before he finds his next victim.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Maybe Kelly can get a tie-in with Grand Theft Auto out of that Texas conman's stunt.
Does anyone have close-to-official sales numbers for My December in the UK and Australia?

Those videos are from Kelly's Miss Independent DVD. That's why the quality is so good. Those are the only three performances on the DVD. The only other AI tour videos that I know of are the videos from the Ananheim show that are on the KCEMedia server. Thankfully someone recorded the whole show and sold it as a bootleg. Now it's being shared for free.

I'm really excited to hear what Kelly and Ryan come up with. "Bleeding Love," "Apologize" and "Love Like This" all are completely different from each other (and pretty big hits), so I'm confident he would be capable of pulling off a few songs with Kelly. Does anyone know any other projects he has worked on?

I looked on Ryans MySpace and it says he done alot of songs on Blake Lewis album, also songs for J-Lo, Ashley Tisdale and Paul Oakenfold. Also heres a list of current writing and producing projects hes working on: Chris Cornell, Kelly Clarkson, Pussycat Dolls, Beyonce, James Morrison, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston, and Paula Deanda.

He seems to be a very diverse writer/producer so that is cool. Honestly, the only song I like from him that I have heard is Apologize. Wait, did he do Break Anotha with Blake? I like that also. I have read reviews of OneRepublic and have seen a few that have said that Ryan is a second rate producer. I don't know anything about that kind of stuff, and reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt. I do like the diversity of artists that he has/is working with though. It will be interesting to see what develops.

ELLE OF A SHOT by Richard Johnson, New York Post www.nypost.com/seven/05052008/gossip/pagesix/elle_of_a_shot_109537.htmMay 5, 2008 -- SOME magazines don't think singer Kelly Clarkson has much fashion taste. During a Mediabistro panel dinner the other night focusing on the difference between men's and women's magazines, Elle's Alexandra Postman took a swipe at the "American Idol" star. Postman talked about choosing celebrities who create style and trends for Elle's covers. She then added, "We also have run Kelly Clarkson, but only because she sells copies."

Well I guess she has something going for her when they admit she sells copies. I agree though that it's probably not her fashion sense..heh.

LOL- Well I agree with their overall opinion about Kelly's fashion sense In her defence, I will say that over the past 7-8 months (since the 'My December' tour and including the European promo period, world tour, and 2V2W tour), Kelly has done a 180 and has looked like quite a babe. Having said that, throughout even the biggest of her fashion missteps, she has always been a cutie. Because she is such an global superstar, Kelly will certainly sell loads of magazines, etc. as long as she remains in music, IMO....

Ha, we all know Kelly is fashionlly challenged when it comes to "celebrity styles", but I think that is part of her charm. She doesn't look bad when she is dressed down, hell some of my favorite pics of her are the ones that are taken off the cuff so to speak. She dresses like an every day person, which I think throws people off in this celebrity obsessed world of looking so "fab" at all times. She really is unique in the celebrity world, she has the superstar staues per say, but not the superstar attitude.
That is what makes her so charming, cute, and sexy IMO. It reminds me of when she did the photoshoot back in the Idol days. The photographer said that Kelly was a "natural woman" and that is still so true. It is that naturalness of being comfortable with who you are that just oozes with sexiness. I am sure not many would agree with me, considering she is rarely on the Hot 100 or Beautiful lists, but she should be I think.

I think much of Kelly's appeal is her naturalness and confidence to be herself...plus her great voice and artistry.

I have always attributed the majority of Kelly's bad fashion sense to her stylist (is it Ashley?) - just because I thought her idol outfits (especially Natural woman) were by and large awesome. I know that Kelly actually has to agree to wear the clothes, but I think someone new would have no problem incorporating some better stuff. I must admit I find it endearing regardless.

I'm pretty sure someone other than Ashley is her stylist. I think Ashley just does hair and makeup when Kelly's on tour and takes care of her tour clothes.
