Two WTF's on AT40 this week.
.: N Dey Say as an extra. Not only did it just peak like 2 months ago, it A) was a flop and I'll bet you half of the listeners either had no idea it existed or had forgotten it AND B) just plain sucks. .: Did anyone notice during Karma, they repeated the second verse? What was the point of that?

..."Incomplete", of course... Yes.Β And "Miss Independent" was a Double-Play (played after "Breakaway"). Droppers were: Live Like You Were Dying (from 40) Like Toy Soldiers (from 35) Signs (from 30)

.: Did anyone notice during Karma, they repeated the second verse? What was the point of that? As a time-filler. They used to do that in a big way during the Shadoe era of AT40, and again for the first year or two of Casey's return to AT40. I hate it.

How long has "She Will Be Loved" been on here now? It's got to be getting close to the Top 5 longest reigns on the chart now. Also how is "Dare You To Move" still on there?

How long has "She Will Be Loved" been on here now?Β It's got to be getting close to the Top 5 longest reigns on the chart now. This is it's 40th week on. Prior to the 50 week reign of "Here Without You", the longevity record was 43 weeks ("Run-Around"). Maroon5 are sure to take second place, at the very least.

Truth be told, Seacrest has no interest in this fact or knowledge of it. He getting ready for his Hollywood star. Sorry, AT40 is no longer about chart facts & host is not a chart freak just self absorbed Hollywood star. They say, research shows that no one is interested in chart records. Remember when, Casey talked for weeks about "I Go Crazy" breaking the Johnny Mathis longevity record.

Sorry, AT40 is no longer about chart facts & host is not a chart freak just self absorbed Hollywood star.Β They say, research shows that no one is interested in chart records. That's why I believe so many long-time fans were ticked off by the "new" American Top 40. It had nothing to do with Ryan Seacrest, but rather with the abandoning of everything that once made the show interesting.

I personally think that the show now is all about Ryan Seacrest. If he doesn't talk about chart facts and whatnot, it's gotta be all about him. Maybe I'm showing my age, but I remember back in the day when Casey would tell certain facts throughout the show on a regular basis. A lot of what I know about music I learned from listening to AT40. And I'm sure a lot of people above the age of 30 would say the same thing.

At first, Ryan was talking about chart longevity, wasn't he? Didn't he say something about it when "Here Without You" broke the longevity record?
Personally, I hope "She Will Be Loved" doesn't break the record. I am so sick of that song, whereas I never really got tired of "Here Without You", as grossly overplayed as it was.
