I figured that was going to happen. I don't mind Bad Girlfriend...as I don't mind Inside...apparently...but it hurts all of the artists involved in this. What's so wrong with cross-promotion?

but I have to agree that I think it works better as just an album track and that there are better single choices.

As if the band's music isn't hopeless enough on its own, I can't see this song having any chance of not being deplorably revolting with a title like that, considering their track record.

Oh god.
I guess the most I can ask for is that the song is so over-the-top that some of the lines are amusing, and that it gets old fast, and that radio realizes that it gets old fast. And maybe some nice T&A in the video, though that's unlikely on a Canadian budget.

When I saw this and "Hate My Life" back-to-back on the tracklisting, I groaned and thought, "those two are gonna suck". However, "Hate My Life" is the one with lines so over-the-top it's amusing. |

Interesting and funny thing worth noting is that Tyler's wife Christine actually helped write some of the songs on the album. Including...you guessed it.

I will give them respect, though, for surprisingly reversing the gender roles of "So Happy" for the video.

This is a good song, but I am really hoping they release "Hate My Life" at some point. That song has smash written all over it....but might take some pretty crafty editing to make it acceptable to radio standards ;) Could be a big crossover hit for them too!

This song blows so hard. F City all the way. My poor ears...my poor brain. My god, I want the last few minutes of my life back. This rivals "Addicted" and "Sexy Can I" for worst song of 2008 so far.
Interestingly enough, if you cleaned up the lyrics a little, this could actually work as a country song.

This and "So Happy" are the two worst singles from these guys yet. They were never really good, but "Nothing Could Come Between Us" was pretty badass, "Make Up Your Mind" was solid all around, and "Santa Monica" was really pretty. "Say Goodbye" was decently good, "Hello Lonely" and "No Surprise" weren't too bad either. I've heard this album isn't terrible, but the first two singles would suggest it's mediocre.

actually these are two of the weaker songs on it. I'm much happier listening to "All or Nothing" , "Heaven(Little by Little)" "Not Meant To Be" or "By The Way".
That said, I dont mind Bad Girlfriend for its campy lyrics. I dont take it seriously and I'll probably forget all about in six months or so.

"So Hott" and "Crazy Bitch" are tolerable, but I don't want to hear them regularly. Maybe I feel that way because I like really like Kid Rock('s personality) and Buckcherry('s first album) and have never liked anything that Theory of a Deadman have brought to the table. It took me awhile to get over the misogynist lyrics and obvious novelty-song factor of "Crazy Bitch," though. (It also didn't hurt that it had a smutty video...that's impossible to track down again, thanks to losing the lawsuit filed by those underage girls from the video.)  >:(  |

^^ It was supposed to be a response to all the stupid 'cock rock' songs, dominating MTV and rock radio during the latter half of the 1980's, an ironic one.
Given the apparent comeback of songs like this 20 years later, I thought it might be interesting to hear a similar response to the cock-rock of our generation... if that's what I couldn't get across with my initial post.
