^Very nice, thanks. That song is actually quite better than most of the songs on "Family". I don't know where/when you got this, but that recording is good as well- she enunciates really well in it, I understood every word without lyrics! It's a studio recording. Most of the time it's only the up-tempo songs that I have a problem understanding the enunciation.

Yeah, sometimes the way LeAnn sings it's hard to understand every word. I know I had trouble understanding a lot of "Nothin' Better to Do" when it first came out. Still love LeAnn's voice and the song though.

Yeah I knew it was studio, but I was more concerned whether it was recorded for 'Family' or the new album, since she is already recording for it. It definately needs to be on an album! BTW storm, do you remember the name of the 'inspirational' song she sang at the FC Party the year she debuted this song (2006 I thinks)? She said it would definately be on her next inspirational album. I always thought it was IWIWW, but obviously not.

I've recently been wondering if maybe it was WICC but I really don't think it was because I seem to remember her singing it to someone in particular (most likely God). I also really liked "Somedays" and wish it was on "Family" instead of half the songs that ended up on there. I have to be honest, I don't care much for "Family" mainly because I skip all the way from track 6 to track 10.

I wish they'd at least say something about a video. This song seems to have the pattern of "Some People." Fan favorite, rave reviews, LeAnn calls it her favorite recorded song to date, etc. I just hope it turns out much more successful. Anyways, if anyone is interested, here's a song that didn't make it onto Family for whatever reason, but may appear on the next album. I WISH I WAS WRONGIt's the right thing This has nothing to do with loving each other It's too easy repeating the saddest lie we ever told To keep staying just for the sake of it I think this time we both know There's no way around us facing it I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong Truth is we were gone long ago I don't know why we keep holding on I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong I can't help but wonder what we'll do without each other You'll go your way, I'll go my way Let's promise that we won't run back Even when the memories kick in Just remember that we'll be better off being just friends I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong Truth is we were gone long ago I don't know why we keep holding on I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong When we walk, we're not human if we don't second guess If we're not looking back with a hint of regret If we don't lose our minds when we're asking ourselves What we should've, what we could've, what we would've done different I wish I was wrong I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong Gotta work up the nerve Let it bruise, let it hurt We both have to be strong I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong I wish I was wrong, oh I wish I was wrong. DOWNLOADwww.yousendit.com/download/Q01IYUlwYUllM1R2Wmc9PQ(I hope that works.) Thank you SO much for that link. I downloaded it the other day when you first posted it and I finally had the chance to listen to it. As I'm typing this, it's on repeat and I've listened to it 6 times so far. AMAZING song. If it was on "Family", it would have been one of my favorite songs easily. I wonder why this didn't make the final cut. I love the piano in it and of course she sings it beyond beautifully, flawlessly. I wonder if there are any other songs that didn't make "Family" floatin around out there somewhere..... ;)

I like the song but I hate how she sings it. The chorus especially.

^And that equates to what position? I want numbers.
BTW...It just went for adds today so it can't be 'not so hot', it was just released!

This is by far the best country single released so far this year IMO. It will be a travesty if it flops.

Be prepared for failure. I tried to convince myself this was going to be a hit, but I did not get far with that. I am really starting to think LeAnn's done on country radio. "This Woman" was very promising, but towards the end of that era she released the pop album to the rest of the world which may have left a bad taste in some mouths. Then you also have the emergance of the new females that now rule country.
The good news is she's only 26 so she has plenty of time to work at this later on.

Mostly because my friends love country radio and when I asked about this song and asked if they liked it (I think its a great song) they said that LeAnn was a pop singer, not a country singer. Still, I think this song deserves to be successful, it's great. Listening though, it doesn't sound all that country...

Yeah, the song is great and deserves success but if it were going to be as powerful and have a strong reaction like some, myself included, hoped for that would have happened by now surely. The site has been out for a week and the song has been played at several stations and all stations have the song.
I, too, think LeAnn is becoming more and more known as a pop artist instead of country. People recognize her for HDIL and CFTM.

I think that's why she is having such a difficult time on country radio. I thought NBTD would change that, guess not.

Actually, NBTD was a great song, catchy and the video was great. I had trouble understanding the lyrics also though. I don't know if it's her venture in the pop world that doesn't get her played more or whether it's the music. We all know she's one of the best singers out there in any genre. Maybe she just started so young that people think she's been out there forever.

I still think it's early to write this one off. There's still the matter of a video, which will likely improve recognition of the song (and, depending on what it's about, might garner some media attention, as well). While it has been available for radio to play for the last couple of weeks, it only officially went for adds this week, right? Coming off "Good Friend & a Glass of Wine," I wouldn't necessarily expect LeAnn to be raking in a lot of pre-impact-date airplay, and still think this could turn into a slow building hit.

You don't hear MOST of the artists from the 90's gettin' played much anymore, especially the females. Also take into consideration that country radio has never been really huge on LeAnn anyways, she's only had two #1 songs and that was in 1997 and then again in 2006 (well, if you count SGG- some don't). Most of her success has been from being so young and on pop radio, as well as her massive CD sales- sales of over 40 million world-wide!

It's a shame, but I'm not surprised that this song is struggling. It's a really nice song, but it doesn't fit all that well with country radio's current mindset. That, and the fact that it's following up a single that really underperformed, are two huge strikes against it from the beginning. I think it will chart though, and if it can pull in a handful of adds each week, it will hopefully last into the fall/winter, which is when it would work best on the radio.

Her and Faith seem to be having the same problem going from country to pop back to country. Although, you can't really blame it on that though cause ALL the female singers (besides Jennifer, Carrie and Taylor) are struggling now. I'm hoping some of them like LeAnn can at least get to the 20 soon.

But this pop album was never even released in the U.S. That was the purpose of releasing it in Europe--so country wouldn't complain. Unfortunately, it didn't make any noise there. I feel like that album never existed. I think the problem is that country radio only promotes 2-3 females at a time. Also, I think Curb doesn't really push her records... LeAnn should screw country, they sure have screwed her over in more ways than one.

I'm starting to think she should depart country as well, though I've argued against that move for years. She is too talented to be restricted by country radio. Her "Twisted Angel" album was really good and she could have a lot of creativity in that genre.
