So tonight, here is what we could be seeing...

• Replay (Iyaz) could possibly be sent to recurrency. It depends on what Mediabase wants to do. I think they should since Break Your Heart (Taio Cruz) will knock it out of the top 20 tomorrow.
  
• Two Is Better Than One (Boys Like Girls) will go recurrent tonight. Nice run for a ballad these days!
  
• With at least Two Is Better Than One (Boys Like Girls) going, we could possibly see no purges. Hard (Rihanna) would be sucked back inside the top 40, and Vanilla Twilight (Owl City) would be 42, and Mediabase never purges a song above 40 and rarely purges a song at 42. If Replay (Iyaz) does go, then it'll even better the chances for Vanilla Twilight (Owl City) as it would end up 41.
  
• Rude Boy (Rihanna) will replace Live Like We're Dying (Kris Allen) in the top ten.
  
• No new top 20 entries this week unless Replay (Iyaz) goes, in which case Break Your Heart (Taio Cruz) would be this week's top 20 entry.
  
• This week's top 40 entries will come from Spose and Timbaland/Katy Perry, and maybe Kelly Clarkson if Replay goes.
  
• Our new top 50 entries will come from Kelly Clarkson, Travie McCoy/Bruno Mars, and We the Kings. If Replay goes, Usher/will.i.am will enter inside the top 50. If it does, it will be Usher's first appearance in the top 50 since 2008's "Love in This Club." It will also be Travie McCoy's first chart appearance.

NO. What's the point of having any semblance of recurrent rules if Mediabase is going to just disregard them, willy-nilly? Sure, I wouldn't mind "Replay" exiting stage left, but not if it requires breaking the rules to do so.

Yes, "Hard" will cheat death for another week, but I do think so will Owl City...not because Mediabase just randomly decides to save it, but because they don't like purging songs who were at their peak the previous week (was #34 his peak for this song?).

Iyaz will absolutely not go recurrent. Jury's out on Owl City; if Mediabase considers it a large enough drop it may well be purged. And yes, #34 is its peak.

The only song that went recurrent when it was #20 was Miley's PITUSA and I think that happened because prior to the panel change that weekend it was already below #20. "Replay" will definitely not go recurrent today but Owl City should.

Just Dance and Forever went recurrent at #20, too. For Forever's case, though, it was #21 in the morning, but in the afternoon update, it would've been #20. Just Dance, though, was a complete mystery.

It doesn't matter...if you're #20 on Sunday night, you should be kept, regardless of how quickly you fall out the week after.

Add "Knock You Down" to that list. (Or was it "Battlefield"? I forget which.)

And to the best of my knowledge, no song has ever been purged that was falling directly from its peak, regardless of the size of its negative.
