90s show once again copies 2019, but the odds were more in favor of that than usual this week, as the second weeks of both December 1992 and 1994 were played at that time. Next week the pattern should break again.
Also, one of the bumpers for the 1992 show featured clips of gymnast Kerri Strug winning gold at the Olympics. That actually happened in 1996.

I probably wouldn’t go for 1990 that soon given the Big 40 is airing ‘89 next week, but I’d personally love to see them kick off 2022 with 1991 (if they’ve played any of the January charts I haven’t heard them).

The VJ's cut "Don't Know Much" in half for some reason. I think the 90s did the same thing when the song came up on the back in the day replay countdown.

I’d personally love to see them kick off 2022 with 1991 (if they’ve played any of the January charts I haven’t heard them). The first two weeks of 1991 have never been featured. The last time any chart from that month was played was 2018. This week's 1999 show contains, amazingly, a never-before-featured chart. And yes, next week's 1984 chart has been done before, three times before to be exact. And yet somehow they opted to go that route instead of 1981 or 1987, both of which are overdue and either of which would have been new.

This weekend: 1996 Next weekend: Top 90 of the 90s Just curious where you get this info so early. Does she mention it during the week? I hope they're not foolish enough to follow the 2019-2020 pattern of ending one year with 1996 and beginning the next with 1997. But, you know, this is the 90s on 9...

She mentioned it during her show yesterday (and revealed that Seal would be played, which means Fly Like An Eagle). They've been advertising a top 90 of the 90s for NY weekend for a couple of weeks now.

Next week’s survey will kick off 2022 with a trip back to 1964!
