LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! SO much better than Something To Be! All the songs sound fantastic and the entire CD seems to flow well together compared to STB. Amazing. Rob's done it again.

AMAZING. I was pretty disappointed with Her Diamonds (just can't connect with it for some reason) but this album rocks! Can't say yet that it's better than STB but it's very, very close. Love it! ETA: Someday owns me. That's all.

^Yeah, I'm not sure if this is better than STB either. I love this album, but I also loved STB (more than most people on this board seemed to). Rob's sound "does it" for me, no question about it. I can't wait to pick up the album.

From what I've heard of the album, it's GREAT. I like the sound of the songs. Especially "Gasoline"

Don't artists usually put songs they think are strong single contenders in the first half of the album? Made me wonder what other singles might spin off this album. Not sure if anyone has posted the Rhapsody commercial for Rob's new album that has 54 references to Rob hidden in it. Pretty cool. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlreUecvnjYStill holding off listening to the whole album. But heard Rob on NPR this morning and they played some clips. Hope I like the album as much as other peeps do!

From what I've heard of the album, it's GREAT. I like the sound of the songs. Especially "Gasoline" From my early listens, Gasoline is my least favorite song on the album, though perhaps it will grow on me. But I do agree with you that it's a GREAT album.

I loved Gasoline too... I like this "electro" intro.
GREAT ALBUM! His voice is amazing as usual, i love the female back vocal in almost all songs on the album!
Someday, Give Me the Meltdown, Real World 09' and Natural are my faves.

I played this relentlessly during an outdoor barbeque this weekend. Meaning, ambient awareness, but not a close listen. The song that is stuck in my head until I want to scream is Snow Blind. I like that song, but there are other songs that I like better (Meltdown, Natural, Real World, Fire on the Mountain, and Wonderful.) It's funny how one song can get so stuck in your head.

My old boss is in love with Rob to an unholy degree. I really bought this to appease her. It is amazing and MUCH better than his last. Mockingbird PWNS!

Got it. Listening right now. So far "Someday" and "Mockingbird" stand out as singles for me.

Yeah, those are the two most single-ready songs.

I like the album, but I think at this point I preferSomething To Be. There are some songs on the new album ("Cradlesong", "Getting Late", "Mockingbird", "Gasoline") that I really like, so I can see that initial reaction changing over time. After hearing the album a couple of times, I don't think that "Her Diamonds" was the best choice as lead single. "Mockingbird" or "Gasoline" probably would've been better choices.

Only gotten to listen to a few on the way back home, but about to indulge in some more! "Someday" is NOT single material for CHR/POP!!

...something to be > cradlesong
Maybe I haven't had enough time to live with it but STB grabbed me more than this album. That being said, I'm surprised and pleased with his first-week prediction, especially considering the fact "Her Diamonds" was not as well received at radio as his lead single last time. His fanbase is loyal.

I listened to this album for the first time today. While I absolutely love it, it'll take time for me to like it as much as "Something To Be". But I can see me liking this one more eventually.

I don't get all the love for STB. The only songs off that album I ever come back to are Lonely No More (and I got sick of that REALLY quickly), My My My, Ever The Same and Now Comes The Night or whatever it's called....occasionally, I will listen to This Is How A Heart Breaks. I can listen to any song on this album multiple times. SMASH!
