i want Erykah to do well she's a true talent, she created a nice buzz around her album, with the whole naked video thing, but it was a purpose behind it. I'm glad her label is out there promoting her, it would be nice if she had a hit radio single. Whats going on with her singles as far as radio is concerned?

But she's come close each time a record was released and has sold consistently.
Baduism - #2 (#1 R&B) Live - #4 (#1 R&B) Worldwide Underground - #3 New Amerykah Part 1 - #2

She's going to give Usher a run for his money. While my local best buy didn't have anymore RvR -- they also were running low on Erykah. But it doesn't mean much because my best buy is the only best buy within 30 miles of the next one.

Should debut Top 5 with sales of 110-120k.
That Kimmel performance was great!

I was hoping for a higher debut but I think this album will have longer legs than her last one.

I, too, thought for sure her opening numbers would be higher...at least, 150k. Maybe with the Easter weekend, it'll be higher than projected. I am trying to remember where did Part 1 debut when it was released?

Part 1 opened up with similar numbers actually. Still, a solid debut. The quality is there too.

I heard her compelling album today. Replete with charms, it will always satisfy. As for the video: the uproar is understandable, but not something art should shy from inciting: it should in fact challenge a world comfortable in the doldrums of its restrictive notions. Watching it I thought "this could be gratuitous," but it wasn't, for she anchored herself admirably in the end. Will anything progressive result from her expression? No, not at this time, but the dialogue which ensues is welcome. Carry on girl, carry on. DO YOUR THANG.

I love her kimmel performance and the single. but the album on the whole feels a bit lackluster.

We've seen throughout the entire Tiger mess how the mainstream media craves a big scandal, beyond the point where they just can't get enough. Erykah simply indulged that relentless appetite of theirs. Now they scream bloody murder. Too bad! Beggars can't be $#%@&£ choosers! Serves 'em right! Way to go, Erykah!

Erykah is a visionary. She speaks TRUTH, she sings TRUTH. She's not afraid to show her jiggles when she walks down historic streets. Gorl boops are running to the hardware store for stronger adhesive to hold dem wigs tight.

Her recent controversies are perhaps just a minute detail of the still largely unforeseen Amerykahn enigma.

I've been jamming to "Tyrone" all day. But you can't use my phone. LOL.

I like her new album. I feel like it's more solid than New Amerykah Part 1 but to me the highlight songs from her previous album were a bit more interesting. ("The Healer", "That Hump", "Soldier").

This is a very good album but I was a little disappointed after her last album. That album was a huge artistic statement. This is just a laidback groove album. I understand some people might prefer that because they don't care as much about the artistic statements. Just my two cents though.

I don't rank Erykah's albums anymore because she hasn't made an album I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. She's never really disappointed me. When you like atleast 80% of every album in an artist's catalog, that kind of goes without saying.
I just dig Erykah. She brings it for me.
