But that was on CT40, not AT40. ;)

Ace Of Base ("The Sign") spent 14 weeks at #1 on AT40 during the Shadoe Stevens era; Boyz II Men are in second place with 13 weeks on top ("End Of The Road").

He was just commenting on the fact that those two songs were played as extras even though they were both still on the chart until recently.

Ah...

Oh well, at least it's better than hearing crap like "Yeah!" and "I Don't Wanna Be" or anything else that was hanging around the charts forever. Besides, both of those songs would probably still be on the chart if not for all the recurrents. Maybe that's why they opted to play them.

I like "Incomplete." It's one of my favorite songs so far this year, so I'm glad it got an extra spin this week.

I think we all realize that the chart (and Ryan) are on crack, but to Seacrest's credit, all the #1s have matched up with the mediabase weeks since he's been on board. So, with any luck, D.H.T. will be #1 next week, after which "Shake It Off" will jump to the top (probably from #10 or so).

Actually, it was "Near You" by Francis Craig and His Orchestra. It topped the chart for 17 weeks in 1947. If I remember correctly, Casey, or maybe even Shadoe, mentioned this little factoid some time back.
