I'm still surprised at how consistent this album manages to be. Everyone involved in the project brought their A-game for this.

I think her best album might have been The Colour Of My Love, which I'd like to get a CD of since I only had the cassette version and really, who still has cassette players? I have a few but would rather have the CD. haha!

Another piece of trivia for you.
Falling Into You became the 3rd (and last) album to spend a year in the top 10. The only other 2 albums to do this are Micharl Jackson's Thriller and Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill.

Didn't Bruce Springsteen's Born In The USA spend over a year in the top 10?

why can't she write songs like that anymore? Because she never wrote her own songs. ;)

My all-time favorite CD. I have the CD singles for "Because You Loved Me," "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," "Falling Into You," "All By Myself," "Make You Happy" and "Dreamin' Of You." I guess all the other tracks would have been hits as well if released.

FANTASTIC ALBUM! And "every song is a gem" is absolutely right. Celine's first four English-language albums were very solid efforts, with maybe one or two skip-worthy tracks. And as much as I love much of the stuff she's made since, she's never matched the consistency of those first English-language efforts. Even Let's Talk About Love, which also sold over 30,000,000 worldwide, isn't as solid and consistent. Frankly, I think most people bought that album because it had "My Heart Will Go On" on it, and because it was the follow-up to Falling Into You. But all that's only my opinion. I just find that I listen to less than half of the tracks on LTAL, whereas I listen to all of FIY.

My mom has this album and I remember falling in love with it when I was ten or so. Great album from top to bottom.

This was one of the albums I wore out when I was a kid. I haven't listened to it in years but, besides "River Deep Mountain High" (which is one of my most hated songs of all time, and I'm talking about both the original and Céline version), "Because You Loved Me" and "I Love You," I remember enjoying every single song on the album. My favorite tracks in particular were "Falling Into You" (this is actually still my favorite Céline song ever), "Make You Happy," "Declaration of Love," "Call The Man," "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and "Dreamin' of You". This is also probably the last album by Céline that I consider fairly consistent throughout.

I didn't realize how long a gap there was for her between full-length English language studio albums from Let's Talk About Love and A New Day Has Come. A whole two years.

"The Colour of My Love" and "Celine Dion" are her best albums. I grew up hearing the singles from "Falling Into You" and they are the highlights on the album. Apart from "Seduces Me" and "Make you Happy", I feel like the other songs haven't grown on me yet. I actually prefer her first three albums. They have more replay value to me.

I remember being happy to hear that she was working with Phil Spector for this album as I knew their styles would mesh well. I didn't realize one of their songs had leaked in full:
This is a cover song. Are the titles of any of the other songs they did know?

Supposedly she had at least 3 songs in the can before Rene fired Phil from the project (They got into a fight after Rene confronted Spector about overworking Celine to a point where she was getting physically sick). "Tonight I'll See the Morning With Him" and "What Am I To Do" are songs from the sessions that have leaked as well.
