August 21, 2007Jennifer Lopez - Do It Well August 28, 2007Backstreet Boys - Inconsolable Gwen Stefani - Now That You Got It (featuring Damian Marley) September 4, 2007 It's time when I see this that I am truly in awe of how big of a star Gwen is. She's been around forever, produced countless hits, and when going up against mega-stars like the Backstreet Boys and J-lo who became relevant AFTER her, she'd still be considered the stronger contender. It's lovely

Gwen will be a legend before any of these other pop artists. With the exception of Mariah and Madonna of course.

Oh totally. She's got a HUGE legacy at this point. No one born in our generation is going to forget Tragic Kingdom. It's an iconic album that marks a significant chunk of the 90's. Hollaback Girl will always remind people of the period where Gwen was a pop star. She's going to be remembered as a huge star... there is absolutely NO one like her.

Big artists like Britney don't usually have add dates when their first singles leak. When the leak happens...that pretty much means radio is supposed to add it. The same thing happened with Aguilera, Timberlake, Maroon 5, and Kelly Clarkson.

To update things, here's the current combined adds schedule (All Access, FMQB, R&R) as of September 7.
• Natasha Bedingfield's adds date is the only conflict on the current schedule • Fergie has two songs going for adds on 9/18 according to All Access (?). Interesting... • And, no, Britney's "Gimme More" doesn't appear to have an adds date as of yet.
September 11 All Star United - Love And Radiation Lily Allen - LDN Fall Out Boy - I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me And You) Jonas Brothers - S.O.S. Mika - Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) Mark Ronson featuring Daniel Merriweather - Stop Me Timbaland featuring OneRepublic - Apologize
September 18 Natasha Bedingfield featuring Sean Kingston - Love Like This (according to All Access) Fergie - Barracuda Fergie - Clumsy J. Holiday - Bed Santana featuring Chad Kroeger - Into The Night
September 25 Natasha Bedingfield featuring Sean Kingston - Love Like This (according to FMQB) Lil' Mama - Tour Bus (G-Slide) Nicole Scherzinger - Baby Love
September TBD Sara Bareilles - Love Song Blue October - Calling You Vanessa Carlton - Nolita Fairytale Chamillionaire featuring Slick Rick - Hip Hop Police Faber Drive - Tongue Tied Wyclef Jean featuring Akon, Lil' Wayne and introducing Niia - Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill) Pat Monahan - Her Eyes Sum 41 - Underclass Hero KT Tunstall - Hold On Matt White - Best Days Whitney Wolanin - Loud And Clear

Gwen is a star. It's funny when i see people use legend or something close to that meaning because none of these people out today really show that.. Whitney, Madonna, mariah, and celine is basically where it ended.. Mariah ruined her image herself by selling out and trying to fit in with what is popular now. The other 3 women have children and are focused on that more then their careers now.

How did Mariah sell out? She's always done R&B. Isn't Gwen the one who went urban later on in her career?

I think all the talk of "Legends" is theoretical, because only time will tell which artists are considered legendary in the future. And I think soemtimes too much importance is put on sales when it comes to legend status...I think someone like Gwen may very well be considered a legend in the future, in the same way someone like Debie Harry is...even if her sales don't end up comparing to Britney or Beyonce.
