This song is pretty good, but like everyone said, 'Long Way To Happy' and 'U + Ur Hand' are better choices, they are stronger tracks. Hopefully she can score a top ten.

Didn't they let her have her own way for Try This? Look what happened there. True, although after "Just Like A Pill" apparently the record label was keen on "18 Wheeler" being the follow-up but she insisted on "Family Portrait", which was a hit (although I'm still convinced "18 Wheeler" could have been a hit too).

WTF
This is my least favorite song on the cd...and at least 2-3 others would make perfect singles. This is the most baffling single choice of the year so far **eyebrow**

After hearing the full thing... What on EARTH are they thinking? They need to push "Long Way To Happy" right now.

This is a terrible second single.

Oh lord, she's asking for a flop with this one. Although the strings on here are gorgeous.
No offense Luke, as U+Ur Hand is a good track, but Long Way To Happy should be next.

Apparently they did a video for "U & Ur Hand" before "Stupid Girls" so it'll be a single at some point

After hearing both this and "Long Way To Happy" in full, I'm convinced more and more that Pink's camp is making a mistake releasing this after "Stupid Girls." Not because this song is bad, it isn't by any means but she needs to cement her comeback by coming out with a second single smash and this isn't it. I think LWTH can get the job done because it's clearly the stronger track of the two and the song itself sounds like the Pink we all know and love.

I don't see why people think this is such a bad choice. I love this and Long Way To Happy equally but I think they both have an equal chance. Both really strong singles.

We just need to hope that its doing well. I will be very mad if its not doing better then her other flop. Its her best song since JLAP and it need to be a modest hit. After LWTH is gonna explose.

I totally love it. Just because people on this forum don't like it doesn't mean the rest of the country will do the same. This will go #1 on Pop and Hot AC. :)

Well i hope the rest of the country will like it. At least people will surely realize that its better then her last flops. If they like it but radio station dont play it atleast they gonna be interested by the album.

Luke... which songs did you/Max write? Both "Who Knew" and U+UH sound like they could be yours :)

The studio version of this song is good. But it's not amazing. "Long Way To Happy" and U+UH both are incredible songs. It'd be a shame if they didn't get to be heard due to WK flopping. So I'm hoping for the best with whatever they choose.

Max and I did: U+UH, WK and CIC.... If it was up to me it would be U+UH.... just my opinion.

I like this but not as a second single.
I think "U + Ur Hand" should be next.

This one is strong IMO, it's just not as "in your face" as we're used to from Pink, this one is definitely more mellow.

She's got the big hits (I believe) in "Long Way To Happy" and "U + Ur Hand" so she/LaFace should take the ball and run with it instead of holding back on the release of those. I like "Who Knew" but it isn't 2nd single material IMO.

I've listened to this a few times and I'm liking it more and more. No, it's not as incredible as some of the other songs on the album. But it's not like it's a horrible song, it's actually really good.

It's a good song but just not a strong second single. I predict a peak at 6-10, not Top 5.

I've listened to this a few times and I'm liking it more and more. I haven't listened to the full song yet (i'm waiting to get my pre-ordered copy), but that sounds good, although it could also be a danger. The problem is whether radio will be willing to play the song enough times to get that same reaction with listeners, so they buy the album. She's had several flops on the format, so they might be wary, and it's a huge risk on whether stations will give the song a chance to grow on her listneners. However, an upside I can see is that this is not typical Pink at all, and after "Stupid Girls" (which is possibly the epitome of an 'attitude' record), it could be a nice change of pace that semi-shocks listeners and works well.

Ok, Pink has only really had like two flops on Billboard. Trouble and God Is a DJ. Stupid Girls was top 20, which is an aweomse effort, for that song and for the fact that it was getting people familiar with her again. But yes, the two flops flopped hard so they do need to take it carefully.

I love this!! Pink’s vocals come across very sincere, especially in the final chorus. This is one of my favorites from her for sure. However, I’m not sure how radio will receive this. I think if your looking for a hit, the only sure shot is “U and Ur Hand.” It’s one of those songs that gets “in your face” demanding your full attention. I have no doubt that if it was released, this would become the big female anthem for 2006. My favorite part in the song is the bridge. Super hot!!
Who is calling the shots on singles for this album? Does Pink have the final say on what’s gets sent out to radio? This makes no sense…the label knew “Stupid Girl” tested really poorly. Yet it still gets released and as expected doesn’t strike a big chord with listeners. Now they are putting off “U and Ur Hand” again for “Who Knew.” It sounds like someone doesn’t want “U and Ur Hand” to be released and I doubt it’s anyone at the label.

Stupid Girls ahs done very well in so many places outside of America. The music market just doesn't consist of the States. Yes it wasn't added to radio alot BUT it peaked at 13, meaning it's a top twenty hit. In most other countries the song has done exceptioanlly well, debuting in the top ten in nearly every country. Great results. To me it seemed like the label put Stupid Girls out early in the US so it could be over and done with by the time the album came out. I love Who Knew, but as benmcd2000 said, UUH would be an in your face anthem THAT SO MANY GIRLS could relate to. I hear that the US may infact get as different record. Lets face it. Pink can release anything in any otehr country anf it would do well, as SG success proves. But she needs to be cautious in the US.
