The 3rd AC release from One Heart debuts at #29 on AC this week. The song got another 11 adds too.

I really like this song a lot. It sounds like classic Celine.... not her old singles, but her old album tracks. This could easily have been on the Let's Talk About Love album.
Currently the second greatest gainer.... +218.... 81 stations playing.

Classic Celine is right! "Stand By Your Side" is familiar enough that it will please most of her fans, especially on AC. I think it's one of those tracks that becomes more likeable with repeated plays.

I agree with both of you. It sounds similar to the title track of Let's Talk About Love, but a little more mellow.
This will definitely be another big hit for her on AC. But chances of #1 are slim. There's a lot of competition. Phil Collins, and all the songs in the Top 5 right now.

Her bullet is kind of underwhelming. This sounds like such a November/December song too so I really hope it's still around then.

I still haven't even heard this on the radio once yet.
Is a video coming, or no?

I think this song not going to do well on the radio this morning it's already losing spins and a few days ago was on about 90 stations across the country and I called my local stations and they don't have this song at all so I think this will be a flop. I wished they had release I Know What Love Is I think this could have done well on the chart.

this song is definately a step above her previous effort "Have You Ever Been In Love" which was weak by all meaning of the word.

I just found this on Billboard about Stand by Your Side. Even Billboard think this is a weak single and think that I know What Love Is would do good as I said it would.
It's a crying shame that Celine Dion has been relegated to only the AC airwaves in the U.S. As a result, her singles seldom stray from the tried and true, perpetuating the belief that ballads are her only calling card. That said, "Stand by Your Side" is a beauty, elegantly restrained and as singable and well-executed as her many previous hits. But close followers of Dion's career can't help but feel disappointed that her label doesn't make a meaningful push to be more adventurous. The double-platinum "One Heart" is ripe with the potential to surprise and delight, whether through the uptempo pop perfection of "Faith" and "Reveal" or-if a ballad is considered a must-why not the breathtaking "I Know What Love Is," a Celine classic in waiting. Dion does her part, but Epic seems intent on stagnating what deserves to be a high-flying career. And that just won't do.

I'm slightly surprised that 'One Heart' is double platinum. Does anyone have the Billboard peaks, sales and certification numbers of all her albums to date?

I'd like to see "I Know What Love Is" go for adds across the board. And then she needs to work on a new album with the people who helped her become a star. (Time for another Celine/Diane Warren top 10!!!)

Not to go OT, but does anyone know the name of the Celine song used in her perfume commercial? It sounds good, based on the little bit of it that I heard.

"Stand By Your Side" has lost its bullet currently on the AC chart! :( Yes, i know it is AC and things can turn around quickly (she could be +200 next week), but it is still worrysome because it might mean that some stations are being reluctant to play the song because of overplaying HYEBIL.
Urgh, AC radio, add this song NOW!!!

Urgh, AC radio, add this song NOW!!! Unfortunately, many stations look to WLTW New York as a sort of guide in terms of what to add. WLTW always loved Celine, but has not added "Stand By Your Side." I think this is something the song needs to overcome in order to get much higher... esp on Billboard's AC chart where it goes by audience impressions. COME WLTW add it already!
