1980: Upside Down/Diana Ross
1976: If You Leave Me Now/Chicago
1989: If I Could Turn Back Time/Cher
The chart is still rather stagnant, but not near the bottom. There are THREE debuts! We're usually lucky to have one. I don't remember the last time there were three debuts on AT20. What's even more amazing is that all three droppers fell off naturally.
It looks like Phil Collins will be dropping off next week, since it was a year ago next weekend that "Can't Stop Loving You" debuted. Then again, who knows? Back in February, "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias stayed on for a week after he dropped from the R&R chart, simply because he was still in the Top Ten on the R&R chart. But this was when they had a few flaws on the chart, like John Mayer falling out from a high position, then coming back at around the same position from which he fell out. Since then, things have been pretty consistent.
BTW, I tuned in late and then fell asleep during the show, so I had missed some songs. Thanks to Gil and AT40fantoo for filling in the blanks.
