It's my favorite Destiny's Child single, maybe my third or fourth favorite of theirs overall. I'd rank "Show Me The Way," "If You Leave," and maybe "Illusion" over this.

This song began a string of F's for them that didn't let up until "Emotion," which gets a C-. Then their solos put them right back where they were before "Emotion."

I really starting getting into the song after a couple of listens. I initially didn't like it, but the infectious chorus really got to me. I think this was the song that really cemented DC as the female R&B group of the new millenium. :)

Loved both the song and video. I loved the dance break in the video! Well, not really a dance break. When they were wearing the orange outfits, I mean.

This is their best song ever IMO. In my year end top 10 of 2000. The video is great - I love the colours.

Darkchild, '99!
Back then, I didn't know who Darkchild was and why everyone said his name in their songs. (Excuse the pun.)

"Say my name, say my name, You actin' kinda shady, Ain't callin me baby, Why the sudden change?" Stupid lyrics like these are the reason why just about every one of their songs gets an F. They do that in every song. Normally, I like to give a fair chance to every song I hear no matter who it's by, since even the most unreliable artists can come up with a fluke every now and then. Not DC though. They're so historically bad that you can basically write their songs off before they're even recorded. Until Jessica Simpson's revival, they were the only artist that fit that category for me.

My favorite DC single! It spent 3 weeks @ #1 on my chart and became the #4 song of 2000. I still love it today! :)

What about Jennifer Lopez? Well, she's capable of collaborating with another artist who adds redeeming qualities to the song (ie. "All i Have"), but when she's on her own, yeah, I guess she belongs up there too.

I misheard the line "If you ain't runnin' game" when this song was popular back in the day.
I think I started liking Destiny's Child more at this point...

I remember when the song was popular, and wondering what the heck "shady" meant. Although, I was 10 at the time.

If I remember right, didn't this song stall at about #15 or so on the Hot 100 for a few weeks and then just explode?
