And when I got off work, I heard "Everyday" by Stevie Nicks, "More Than That" by the Backstreet Boys, and "Set The Night To Music" by Starship.

This morning on WEFM, I heard "I'll Try" by Jonatha Brooke again. I heard the same song on that station about two months ago and I had false hope that it was a brand new song, but I realized it came out about five years ago. It's still a great song and I often listen to it on Real Player when I'm at the library on break.

WHCN FM in Hartford (a Jack-like station) is doing a 80's A-Z weekend, where about half of the songs they play qualify for this list. To show how many songs they play, they were on the "I"'s at 7:00 this morning, and are on the "L"'s now. Here is a link where you can click to listen live. www.theriver1059.com/main.html

And these are just 80's songs! It just shows what radio could be capable of if there wasn't so much restriction on the playlists.

I also checked out their HD2 stream ("Forgotten Favorites"), and heard "Flamethrower" by the J. Geils Band and "Keep Pushin'" by REO Speedwagon.

Here are mine:
*NSYNC: Just Got Paid (never released as a single) Gigi D'Agostino: I'll Fly With You (outside of AT40) 3 Doors Down: Loser (given the song's unpopularity) Lenny Kravitz: Stillness of Heart (ditto)

3 Doors Down: Loser (given the song's unpopularity) Despite its non-success on the Pop chart, it was massive at the rock formats...to the point where I wouldn't necessarily consider it obscure overall. I'm assuming you heard it on a Pop station.

80's, 90's, and now.
It was normal back then. (just now)

I hear "She's Got A Way" all the time. Not me. The AC station I listen to usually plays "Just The Way You Are" or "The Longest Time".

Men Without Hats - I Wanna Be a Cowboy Actually, that was by Boys Don't Cry (But come to think of it, they do sound a little like Men Without Hats)

What's up with WYOY and their dead boy-band marathons? LOL! A couple of years ago, they had "Quit Playin' Games With My Heart" in regular rotation. Speaking of WYOY, they played two obscure ones today: "Wouldn't It Be Good" by Nik Kershaw (a song I never heard before) and "I Beg Your Pardon" by Kon Kan.

^That's a song I haven't heard in ages. It seems like I heard their follow-up "Sunrise", which was an A/C only hit, at a store in the past year, but that's for the other thread.
This morning, I heard three obscure songs in the course of only fifteen minutes. In fact, during the set of four songs, the only non-obscure song was "Keep On Lovin' You". The other three were:
Give Myself To You by Train Your Loving Flame by Paul McCartney Unbreakable by Alicia Keys
All three of those songs are pretty recent - in fact, I'm not sure if any of them are just now coming out and, hence, can't be called obscure yet, but it was the first time I had heard any of them (that I know of, anyway).

Give Myself To You is climbing Hot AC Actually it peaked in the upper 30s and already fell off the chart. Huge flop.

A few weeks a go I heard "Fairground" by Simply Red on 96.9 KFMN, an AC station on Kauai.

OK, how's this? I heard three obscure songs in a row on WEFM yesterday afternoon:
Is It You by Lee Ritenour Wrong Impression by Natalie Imbruglia Heartbeats Accelerating by Linda Ronstadt
The obscure songs streak was broken by "Brass In Pocket" by the Pretenders, another good song.
