Love That Man, Unashamed, Tell Me No, One of Those Days, and Things You Say are all good and better than this. Wow. I hate all of those with the exception of "just one of those days" which is listenable and "try it on my own" was ok.

This was such a mess. What a waste of a good voice.

This was terrible. The whole album is her worst but most of the other songs on it are better than Whatchulookinat.

When I first heard this song I thought it was hot. But I guess that the rest of the country didn't have the same initial reaction...

What a hot song! Whitney told 'em off! I can't believe Entertainment Weekly gave it a "F"! Maybe cuz Whitney was dissing em too.

This was definitely not a good Whitney song. But the remixes by Thunderpuss and Peter Rauhofer were the only good thing. It still works on my dancefloors when I spin these mixes.

One of Whitney's BEST live performances ever: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq_Eunwbx4AHigh octane, high energy! Soaring vocals! I love the part near the end when she's out of breath and screaming "WHY YOU LOOKIN' AT ME! WHY YOU LOOKIN' AT ME!" Whitney just does not fit in with the dancers and set. It's too fast for her.

Reads like an exercise in crackhead paranoia. Another solid track and vocal for Whitney nonetheless.

I've always liked the song, but I couldn't help but feel embarrassed for her. This was really a low point of her career and shocked it's her most popular thread in the nostalgia forum...

I thought this was catchy for a few weeks, but it really was a trainwreck. I'm still shocked they even let her release this.

I thought this was catchy for a few weeks, but it really was a trainwreck. I'm still shocked they even let her release this. Wasn't this treated like a buzz single (even though it had a video), similar to Janet's "Just A Little While"? I always thought that "One Of Those Days" was treated as the "real" first single from Just Whitney.

I always thought that "One Of Those Days" was treated as the "real" first single from Just Whitney. It was, but it seemed like that was really only the case after this song refused to take off. That became a popular trend. When a lead single didn't become a hit, artists would claim it was just a "buzz single".

Too bad this didn't make the R&R CHR Pop top 40 reaches.

It's certainly not her best, but it's a jam. Something about it seemed incredibly out of touch musically at the time, but it sounds better now IMO. And I agree, the club remixes were hot too.
