Her masterpiece. Simple as that. The best song she ever wrote, or ever will write. Totally timeless. Lil' Mo did a nice cover of it, but nobody touches Cyndi on this, and it's a pretty perfect song.

I love this song... I also love INOJ's dance remake.

I like it, and I haven't heard too many songs from back then. I don't like it with Inoj's extra dance beat. I've never heard Lil' Mo's version.

I LOVE "Time After Time" Cyndi was at her best on this one. The Lil'Mo version is ABSOLUTELY FIRE!! The best of the covers and one of the best from her debut album.

This is my "Hawaii song." We were on a family vacation in the summer of '84 when this song was really popular. :)

Masterpiece is right. One of the best songs out of the whole decade.

This is one of Cyndi's better songs. I liked some of her other songs, but this is on a whole other level. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "She Bop" were pretty good. But this one is so much better.
Inoj's cover was okay. Nothing special, but it wasn't awful.

I love it. This and "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" are my favorites from her. Both are 80s classics!

Love it. I agree with Ragin that it's one of the best out of the whole 80s.
Who is it that sings the chorus with her, or was that just a studio effect?

I've only heard two Cyndi songs, "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and this. Both are classics and among the best of the 80s that I've heard, but I much prefer this. I liked the cover I heard as well.

This song is freakin' amazing. Truly great.
There's a new-ish version by Quietdrive getting some play on certain region's Pop stations. Not horrible but I really can't even imagine a way to improve on the original.

One of the best songs ever written/recorded. And an absolute standard, which is rare in the contemporary pop era.
