I use to love this song (considering the kind of song it is, I still like it). Managed to hit #1 on my chart back in '99 and it got a load of airplay here in Canada then later in the US.
I also liked their 3rd single "Too Much of Heaven", it was a little different than the first two.

I loved this song too! At the time, it held the record for highest top 40 debut on my chart (#11), and spent 2 non-consecutive weeks at #1.

I loved it back in '99/'00. Didn't it get released overseas way before it was released in America? It still receives good airplay on Radio Disney.

It was great to hear for a while, but by April 2000, I HATED this song. I can't stand listening to it today.

I'm not ashamed to say that this hit #1 on my chart for nine unconsecutive weeks, and I still love it today. My friends used to change the word "blue" to "gay" in one of their alternate versions that still cracks me up to this day.

I remember once a listener calling my local pop station during this song asking what they were saying at a certain point. The line they were referring to was the, "Da Be De Da Ba Da..."

This song was catchy but there were so many rumors about the lyrics. Such as: "I'm blue, if I wee green I would die, but I'm blue so I'll survive" and "I'm blue, I'm need of a guy..." I also remember my friends saying this song would win all the Grammies because everyone at their school as singin it.

I enjoyed this, but I happened to hear "Too Much of Heaven" when I rented the CD from the library and wound up liking that one more. I didn't even know it was a single until I read about it on the R&R boards.

I liked this song for the first 6 months... then, I used to listen to it 4 or 5 times every night I went out... I'm a bit tired of it.
"Too much of heaven" too much better

LOVED this song when it first came out! I didn't have a personal countdown back then, but if I did this would have spent more then a few weeks at #1...I was all about this song, heck I still kind of like it... As for parodies of the song, the best I've heard was on Z100 when the song first came out, titled "Flu"...The lyrics were something like "Ah-choo, my snot is green, I might die, now there's crust in my eye, my snot is green, I might die, and my fever's so high, my snot is green, I might die"...Or something like that ...

I really liked this when it came out. Not as much now because of the combined novelty/overkill effect. But it seems that just about any Eurodance song that crosses over to the States is gonna be pretty good. Heck, even some of the ones that don't.

I hate this. I listened to it being Number 1 on Z100's and WKTU's request countdowns every night starting before it was popular everywhere else. Here's a trivia question: Eiffel 65's album debuted one spot below the debut of the most recent album I know of by what famous rapper? Don't look up the answer.

This song was ALLLL the rage back in Grade 9...seems like it was just yesterday
z103 played it to DEATH (and a good year before the U.S. got it, I believe cuz I was sick of it when it hit mainstream) and back in Grade 9 and early years of high school, it's "cool" to be a gino/gina (around here, anyway...lol)
So this song was HUGE...I even have the CD single because I liked it sooo much. I got it at the HMV Superstore at 333 Yonge downtown, in the summer, I believe.
When was z103 playing it...? Was it summer 1999?
I forget...I think it might have been the summer going into Grade 10 for me, but I remember being in school also... ???
Either way, this will always be a 'classic' song when I look back on my high school days

I like this song a lot. The beginning is identical to that of the dance version of "The Bad Touch." I'm assuming that the same person was involved. "Move Your Body" was a good song too.

MC Hammer? (I didn't look it up.) No. I haven't seen MC Hammer release an album while I followed music. I read that this person is famous but I have no idea if a person who doesn't listen to Urban would consider him famous. This person did a collaboration recently. I'll give you another hint. Eiffel 65 debuted at Number 73 and the rapper debuted at Number 72.

On the topic of the z100 parody which I never heard, I was told that the da ba dee is actually them singing "if i was green i would die, if i was green i would die." anyone else hear this?

I like this song, even though the song is pretty ridiculous. The keyboard/synth riff is awesome!

I believe that this song ties "Scar Tissue" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the song with the largest number of misheard lyrics. In the RHCP song, of course, I'm referring to the chorus line, "With the birds I'll share this lonely view".

This was the jam, but their follow "Move Your Body" was even better.
