I didn't find any thread about this song so...
I love this song, and the video too...
What do you guys think about it?

I think this is the song most people will remember Aaliyah by. It came right at the peak of her career... Very hot beat and her voice sounded its best

I hated this when it first came out. It was too dark. Now that's probably the reason I like it.

I like it. First song to hit #1 on the Hot 100 without a commercial single (although one was released after it topped the chart).

One of my favorite Aaliyah songs. I don't really think of anything by her as a classic, but this is still great.

I love the way this song starts...really attention grabbing. Reminds me of summer 2000, when I was working at Liberty Science Center...crazy high school jobs...

I really liked this song. In the beginning, the radio stations played it too much and that made me like it less. Now I like it a lot.

I love how she dances with the cane in the video. Too cool! Crazy good song.

too generic? are you 12 years old or something? this couldn't've been any less generic when it came out. the video was amazing too, she got MTV award for best female video b/c of it. ugh aaliyah. sad.

It was so unexpected when she won for Best Female. She really deserved it, though.

One of my favorite Aaliyah songs. I don't really think of anything by her as a classic, but this is still great. I'd say "Are You That Somebody" is classic.. Re: "Try Again" I like it just fine.. not as good as AYTS though.

One of the best and most idiosyncratic #1 singles of the noughties, so far. Without a shadow of a doubt. Timbaland on the top of his game and Aaliyah on fire!

Great track and very catchy. I was actually shocked though that this was a top 3 hit on pop, especially for 2000 standards. But, if any R&B/hip-hop song deserved that, this one surely did.

My second favourite single from her, tied with "We Need A Resolution".

This is such a cool song. Timbaland was at the top of his game. Great video to go with it. I can't believe it but I did not care for it at first, I have grown to love it.
Now that I look back, starting with One in A Million, Aaliyah was just ahead of her contemporaries. She had some great songs, the kind that take you a while to get into but you end up loving a lot of them; those are the best kinds.
