I know. "Too early!" But it was a 'Rewind' on AT40, so why not?
Anyway. I love this song.. It has an awesome beat and pop feel to it. I like banging my head rock-style at the chorus. :)

I should say so. the songs's barely over a year old, sheesh. I always felt that a song that was attributed a nostalgic thread was once a song that not only gained popular recognition, but also pretty much stood the test of time. We don't know yet if five years from now MI will still be remembered or even liked. That being said... I really didn't think I was ever going to get into this song when it first came out. But it soon grew on me. I would always jam it up in my car :)

It peaked at #24 on my chart. I liked it, but I never loved it. It's her highest-charting single to date, behind "A Moment Like This" (unofficially a Top 5 hit.)

“Miss Independent” is the definition of a total smash!! Its better then anything off of “Stripped” and it was the perfect song to kickoff Kelly’s project. :)

Great catchy pop song and a good lead-off single for Thankful. Of the remixes, the Junior Vasquez Tribal is by far my favorite. I still prefer the live performances to the studio recording-that "true" in the final chorus is just awesome.

I loved this song when it was out. I remember it debued on my personal chart at #12, and went top 10 the following week. It managed to spend a week atop the chart, but should've spent more. I was hiding the fact that I loved this song, and it reflected on my chart. Stupid move. This song deserved to be #1 for weeks. I recall she dethroned Beyonce & Jay-Z's "Crazy In Love", but then Michelle Branch's "Are You Happy Now?" dethroned her.

This song was hot... a great way to kickstart Kelly's career. Too bad they didn't follow it up properly. (Just Missed The Train!) ;)

I liked this one. At the time, I didn't expect Kelly to release a pop song like this. It peaked at #1 for 4 weeks on my chart and spent 31 weeks on it. It Ended up being the number one song on my 2003 Year End Chart just barely over the #2 song on that chart.

This was a great song for Kelly Clarkson at the time, but it's pretty clear that she has grown a lot since then! I still like this song though, but I'm more into the new Kelly songs.

This one spent 7 weeks @ N0.1 on my chart. LOl. Love it, but it just doesn't stack up to her new material though.

I don't remember the entire story of what happened, but Christina was originally going to record it, but somehow it was taken from under her and ended up going to Kelly. If you listen to it, it does seem to have a Christina sound to it. With that said, I was liking it at first until it was grossly overplayed and I burned out on it very quickly. I also don't think it would've done as well had Christina recorded it.

After it was given to Kelly, she completed it, adding more lyrics to the song, essentially making it another song.

Totally fell in love with this song. It was actually this song that made me a Kelly Clarkson fan. It was also her first #1 on my chart

Love it. I've always wondered how well it would've done if Christina would've recorded it.
