This was the third and tragically underrated single from Music. I remember being so excited this was the third single. It was up there with "Don't Tell Me" for my favorite on the album when it came out. Then it came out and pretty much bombed. I just love the whole vibe of the song. I remember the night the video premiered at midnight. I was absolutely exhausted. So I went to bed and set my alarm clock. I woke up and watched the video and loved it. I still don't really understand why it was banned by Viacom's networks. I thought it was planned label propoganda at the time to add some hype for the single. I bought the maxi-single too because it had great remixes.

I really like the video version of this, it makes the entire video so exciting and fun to watch.
The album version is great too.

I absolutely hate that stupid remix that was based on the video.
The original is a nice song though.

Oh I love love LOVE this song. It's one of Music's highlights. Such a different sound for her - it's so hard to pinpoint. It's like jacuzzi music. lol
The video is brilliant too - one of my favorites. The remix used was so awesome and it totally went well with the visual. I always said that Madonna is a better actress in her music videos than in her films. haha

I loved this song! Not one of my favorites, but I like it.
And that video is amazing too. Too bad it was not shown on TV. :(
That Above & Beyond remix of the song which was used in the video was totally amazing. Madonna's vocals just soared over that uplifting production. I wish more vocals had been used on the remix.

It's probably my favorite song off of Music.

I remember this debuted all the way up at #18 on my AC Top 50 chart (which was 40 at the time), which tied the record with Sisqo's "Incomplete". Both of those peaked only two spots higher.
This isn't a very mainstream-friendly song, IMO. It is pretty good, however.

I love this song. Favourite on Music hands down. The Above & Beyond remix was incredible.

Maybe I'm just numb to violent images. But I was really surprised that this video was banned. I've seen plenty of other videos that should have been banned before this one.
I can't really say that I like this song, but lyrically it was excellent.

Great theme, but the original album version is kinda blah in production (after the beginning). I prefer the Tracey Young Cool Out Radio edit to the album version. The version used for the Drowned World Tour is great, though (a "pumped-up" version of the Calderone/Quayle mix).
I like the video- it definitely couldn't have been what it was and been set to the album version!

This is one of my favorite Madonna songs ever. I didn't love "Music", but both this and "Don't Tell Me" rank as two of my favorites from Madonna ever. I was really surprised when it didn't at least go top 10.

Decent enough, but nowhere near what Madonna is capable of.

Though it isn't my favorite from Madonna and I preferred the dance and techno tracks more from Music, it's a decent enough song. I like the theme that it conveys.

This would've been a smash hit if she would've made a viewer-friendly video for MTV/VH1.

It did fairly well on "The Rhythm Countdown With Ellen K." It reached the Top 5 and may have peaked at #2 or #3.

This would've been a smash hit if she would've made a viewer-friendly video for MTV/VH1. I really think that by the time this song was released, videos made little to no impact on a song's chart performance. WIFLFAG (or formerly WIFLF** on these boards...lol) was howlingly underrated, though.

I couldn't find this thread when i searched for it, but I was afraid to make another!
I added this on my I-Pod a month ago and I'm LOVING the song. I had the music CD since it came out, but never really listened to it until now and there are some REALLY good tracks on the album. This song is decieving, cause it starts off kinda slow, but once the second chrous comes around, your hooked. Interesting video aswell.

This was suppsed to be the 2nd single off the Music album.
If it had been the second single, do you think it would have been a bigger hit?

Nope, at least not with the banned video. I never liked this song, but the video is great. The Glee cover is awful too.

It was definitely on Casey's American Top 20, both the AC and Hot AC charts.
