I may be a huge JS fan but I didn't even hear this song until 2003! :o If I would've heard this back in 99 I would've been a fan longer but I just never heard it. Anyways, I love this track and I always will.

This is hands down her best song! Her vocals were controlled and perfect!

I still hear this on Z100 sometimes. Its a little too over the top, but still better than anything on her 2nd and 3rd albums.

Its a little too over the top. She hella strained her voice when she sang it. Shocked she didn't get nodes after going on tour that spring.

This is one of my favorite songs from Jessica. I actually thought it was Celine Dion on the radio when I heard this one. Then they announced it was a new singer named Jessica Simpson.
There was a dance mix released on a maxi single. Who did that mix? It was a really good mix. Z95.7 (RIP) used to play it in the mixshows every so often.

Love this song! It's perfect. I remember seeing the video on TRL. My brother had the CD single and I ended up taking over it.

Great song. I still listen to it on Winamp occasionally. The only other song of hers I like slightly better is "I Think I'm In Love With You."

I thought this was by Mandy Moore the first few times I heard it! I thought it was weird how Mandy Moore had released 2 singles at once.

I like this song a whole lot. I never realized how much range she really showed in this song. It's such a hard song to even try to sing...and where did this peak on the radio charts...I know it peaked at #1 on Hot 100 I think based on single sales.

this song is so good. her vocals on her first cd impressed me quite a bit. i remember on a song called something like "your faith in me" she hits this MASSIVE high note. and it gives me chills.

Yes, there was a song on "SK" where she hit a Mariah note (whistle, whatever) and it was called Your Faith In Me.

This is one of my favorite songs from Jessica. I actually thought it was Celine Dion on the radio when I heard this one. Then they announced it was a new singer named Jessica Simpson. Several singers from around the turn of the century were mistaken Celine Dion. Remember Lara Fabian and her song "I Will Love Again"? That sounded very much like Celine (and Celine's hit "I Drove All Night" was very reminiscent of "I Will Love Again".

her voice seemed so rich on this song and unlike her stuff now had alot of emotion and semi-soul

If you guys like "I Wanna Love Your Forever" then you will looove "For Your Love" on her Irresistable album. Jessica still has the voice to sings these amazing ballads but she doesn't know how to sing correctly anymore. Someone needs to smack her accross the face and tell her this.

I sort of like the song, but I agree it sounds very over-the-top and overwrought. When I first saw the music video, my first impression was that the singer didn't look or sound very genuine when she sang the lyrics.

Soul Solution did that mix. That one was *amazing*. What happened to them? Maybe they're hiding out wherever Jessica's good non-baby voice is?
