Billboard just reported this has 375 million on demand audio and video streams, which translates to 2.5 million in sales. It had 1.25 million in physical sales, for 3.75 million total. As of early 2014 it had sold 890,000 downloads, so it's surely over 1 million downloads by now. It's surely eligible for 4x platinum, but it could even be 5x platinum.

This song has aged like fine 🍷. I used to hear this on 92.3 The Beat Los Angeles in 1996.

When this was first released I wasn’t all that into it. I didn’t dislike it but didn’t get the hype behind it at first. I was obsessed with the club mix at the time though. Of course I grew to love the original and totally get the appeal. At the time I think I was either into Mimi’s ballads or uptempo’s so that may have had something to do with it. I didn’t actually become a mini lamb until 97 but owned all of her studio albums.
