This is one of Def Lep's best songs in my opinion. Mariah just couldn't replicate the magic of theirs.

I loved the video. It's one of my favorite Mariah videos. It was also her best single release from 2001-2003 Glitter and Charmbracelet. It's also my favorite song on the Charmbracelet album, just edging out "Subtle Invitation". Nah. Definitely not. This song sucks, although it still managed to be the best single from that album.

hey! Glitter was hands-down Mariah's best album.
I really f**king loved this song, charmbracelet was pretty lackluster.
Emancipation was okay
and now she officially sucks ass, E=MC^2 was a pile of s**t, waste of money.

Love this song and want the video! iTunes sells all her videos except anything from the Glitter or Charmbracelet eras. Everyone get on the iTunes store and request it with me! Lol.....

This is one of the few tracks I liked from Charmbracelet.
I felt that Mariah's delivery made this have a much more melancholy feel than the original Def Leppard song.
I love the Junior Vasquez and Deep Influence remixes.

This is the only track I liked on Charmbracelet. I've never heard the original but I thought this was done well.

This is the only track I liked on Charmbracelet. ^This. One of my favorite Mariah covers. She nailed this and made it her own. Mike Rizzo did a fantastic club mix where he really let the whistle note shine.

I remember seeing her on her "Charmbracelet" tour and this sounding so much better live because she sang the entire song in her full voice.

I found the promo single for this at a local store called "All Books & Records" (RIP :( ) I bought it, ripped it and put the CD on ebay. It sold for $31.00.

This is my second favorite song ("Subtle Invitation" is my favorite) off of that weak album. I love how Mariah experimented again with rock sounds, even if the track doesn't go real hard.
Although it would have been all sorts of epic had she sung in full voice from the first verse, the climax is still breathtaking. Those whistles at the end especially, are some of her most intense!
I also love the video - it features one of her sexiest and most different looks and it's arguably her best overall video from that era:

I always liked this but I prefer Def Leppard's version.

I like it, it's a solid remake. But if she had sang this song with full vocals, it would have been ACE.

Everywhere except my chart, where it was a Top 10 hit for Mariah. I liked it but the song itself could have been a lot better if Mariah actually put force in her vocals. Yeah, fuller vocals would have made this cover epic. I think the airy vocals work for the start of the song, but she definitely should have built them the way she does on "Fly Like A Bird." It was a surprising (but cool) choice of song to cover, and the production is probably the most dramatic of any song she has done. It's crying for fuller vocals.
