Great song! My favourite line from the song goes like this:
Spoken Man: I thought you loved but it really seems you don't care. Woman: I care enough to know I could never love you
#25 Hot 100 #6 UK
You can find this on most new wave compilation CD series. The record is still one of the most played "oldies" in the UK today.

I didn't listen to pop radio when this song first came out. I later discovered it after becoming pop radio fan in the mid 80s and I love hearing it on the radio. ABC was one of the most underrated bands of the 80s. I oughta get their greatest hits CD.

I oughta get their greatest hits CD. Well worth your money, except it doesn't include "Vanity Kills", well, the Absoluetly (1990) doesn't anyway, but other than that I'd say go for it!

Love it! first 2 stations in New York area to play song were KISS-FM and WBLS before it was released as a single in this country. Lexicon Of Love is a great Chic-meets new wave album, especially songs like "Tears Are Not Enough."

It's okay... I like "Be Near Me", "The Look Of Love", and "How To Be A Millionaire" much more.

I don't remember that line you're talking about, Josh, but I do like the song. I'll have it give it another listen.

I like this one. I just bought their "Look of Love The Very Best of ABC" CD recently. I discovered a few more good ones on that CD.

The worst of their big hits. I prefer "Be Near Me", "The Look of Love" & "When Smokey Sings"

Agreed with whoever said ABC was underrated in the states, this is probably my all around fav. song by them (or maybe it's S.O.S, Valentine's Day, etc.. idk all ABC songs are good to me). Martin Fry is one of my fav. male vocalists ever, this song just musically is the bomb and with his voice.. it's a no fail deal here.

I really like this. Its parent album The Lexicon of Love is a fantastic pop record, too, and it contains "Tears Are Not Enough", which is my fave ABC single.

Pretty catchy track. I like The Lexicon of Love but honestly the only other thing after they did that I really liked was "Be Near Me." The best stuff aside from that is just decent to me.

WOW en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poison_Arrow In all three roles, he unsuccessfully attempts to woo the leading lady, played by Lisa Vanderpump, later of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

40 years ago this week, "Poison Arrow" debuted at #72 on the January 29, 1983 Billboard Hot 100.
This is my favorite song of the 80s decade.
