38-34-31-31-30-31-31-30-27-22-21-19-19-22-25-REC. As you can see, this song had a hard time kicking off. This is one of my favorite songs from the summer of 2000. I haven't heard this song on the radio since the 9/11 attacks.

One of my favorite songs from 2000 also. Casey played this on AT20 a few months ago.

I like it. I remember Casey saying that "God" wasn't originally in the title until their producer heard it and misunderstood the title. They thought that "God" made it stronger so they added it.

Fabulous song! I love it even today! This song should have done much better than it did.

Good but I always preferred "Yeah, Whatever" to this.

I love this and every other song they've released. They're an extremely underrated band.

I love it, even though the chorus sounds really whiny.

Pretty good. I think it got to #11 on the Hot AC chart.

I Think God Can Explain reached #59 on the Hot 100 in 200 and was produced by Todd Rundgren

Thought of Splender the other night and listened to their hits for the first time in awhile. Really great songs. I love this song but I think I like "Yeah, Whatever" a little more. But I pulled up the video for this one which I don't remember seeing when it was a hit. I was very surprised to hear a completely different mix of the song which I don't think I ever heard back then either. Surely this was not the version they played on the radio? I like the album version far more.
Speaking of the album, I just listened to it for the first time in at least 10 years. Wow it is much better than I remember! I remembered liking the first couple non-singles back in the day but had it in my mind that it was completely forgettable after ITGCE (track 6). But tonight I realized I remembered every song on there. Good stuff. Will definitely be coming back to it again. Wish they had had more success too
