The Khia thread got me to thinking of another nasty song that came out around the same time. I actually liked this one a lot better. I remember a line that went something like, "There go your kids all over my face, oh my."

I loved this song! It was so hot and nasty!
Here are the lyrics:
[Verse 1] Tell you what I did last night I came home, say, around a quarter to three Still so high Hypnotized In a trance From the start it, so butter and brown and tantalizing You woulda thought I needed help from this feeling that I felt So shook I had to catch my breath
[Chorus:] Oops, there goes my shirt up over my head Oh my Oops, there goes my skirt droppin' to my feet Oh my Ooh, some kinda touch careesing my face Oh my Ooh I'm turning red Who could this be?
I tried and I tried to avoid but this thing was happening Swollow my pride Let it ride and party But this body felt just like mines I got worried I looked over to the left A reflection of myself That's why I couldn't catch my breath
[Chorus:] Oops, there goes my shirt up over my head Oh my Oops, there goes my skirt droppin' to my feet Oh my Ooh, some kinda touch careesing my face Oh my
[Fabolous (rap)] Uh, yeah, yeah, Desert storm, yeah Fabolous, yeah, Tweet, yeah
Shorty I strickly wanna spank you The most I gotta do is spell my name to get your Vickies to your ankles I'm serious mami You're f**kin wit the kid aka William H period Bonnie You know I'm the type that be Crushin and merkin Havin ladies touchin the herk And blushin and smirkin Early in the morning rushin for workin Screaming Ooh My F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S Each night I'm freakin Ma, you ain't gonna talk me to death cause you got free nights and weekends Ghetto Fab's all over the place Oops there goes my kids all over you face Ooh My
[Missy] (I looked over to the left) Umm I was looking so good I couldn't reject myself (I looked over to the left) Umm I was feeling so good I had to touch myself (I looked over to the left) Umm I was eyein my thighs butter pecan brown (I looked over to the left) Umm comin outta my shirt and then the skirt came down
[Chorus 2x:] Oops, there goes my shirt up over my head Oh my Oops, there goes my skirt droppin' to my feet Oh my Ooh, some kinda touch careesing my face Oh my Ooh I'm turning red Who could this be?
Ooh My

Great song, though it did no justice to Tweet's talent.

I didn't mind this song, actually. The melody's catchy.
I remember either the week this song peaked on the Pop chart or close to it, its bullet went from +a couple hundred to +3 inside of a single week.

Such a dark song! I remember it when it first came out. Reminds me of 6th grade. :)

A candidate for the worst song of 2002.

I loved this song, but it was completely unrepresentative of her talent. I always compare her to Monifah in that, they both had this one huge raunchy hit, but the rest of their material was completely different and really good. So they both got this reputation for being generic, slutty R&B/hip-hop singers, when they weren't even that kind of artist. It's unfortunate. I think Tweet really only gets that kind of reputation from the pop crowd though. The Urban crowd seems to be more aware of her talent. Both of Tweet's albums are quite good, but Southern Hummingbird was excellent. One of my favorite albums of 2002.

Really liked this but LOVED Call Me. BTW, has anyone heard the shout out Metronomy throws at Tweet in their song Love Underlined? I'm not totally sure that it's about her, but they seem to like her! sharemyplaylists.com/fingerplaylistmetronomy

I played this song so much last year. That beat is infectious and her harmonies are out of this world.
Tweet revealed not too long ago that she wrote this song to another tune, but ended up using the beat from the Miss E...So Addictive sessions. I can imagine this being a slow sultry song if she were to sing it over a guitar arrangement.
Here is the sequel track "Sexual Healing (Oops Part 2)" with Ms. Jade. It's more in your face (no pun intended) than the original.

One of the best songs of this young century. I fall in love with it again every few years; that hypnotic rhythm paired with her southern twang, omg—almost unbelievable. Earliest memory I have of it is a looped snippet playing on the Elektra Records website at the very end of 2001. A month or so later, it was a radio monster in NYC.

I love this song so much. And while I agree this song says nothing about the kind of music Tweet provides, it still had a great beat, great vocals, and it made the music world pay attention to her as a solo artist, not just a featured/backup vocalist.

The production is absolute insanity. One of those songs that will probably never sound dated to me.
