I remember liking this song immediately when it came out. Enough for me to buy the album "Just Push Play." There was also a rhythmic remix of this song serviced to CHR/Rhyhmic stations.
This ended up peaking at #6 on CHR/Pop.

Great song! But, yeah, it doesn't compare with some of their classics.

I love this song! I remembered them performing this song at the Superbowl back in 2001(?)...

Yeah, didn't they join in with 'N Sync when they were singing "It's Gonna Be Me"? Rick Dees played that part of Superbowl on his show when going into "Jaded" back on this very weekend in 2001.
As for the song - GREAT! I loved it in the first place, plus it takes me back to 2001 and I think I've mentioned a million times that early 2001 was a great era in my life. The "My my baby blue" refrain of the song sounds so much like the chorus of "House Full Of Reasons" by Jude Cole that I can listen to one and sing the other. And I loved "House Full Of Reasons", so, all this being said, you should be able to see why I love "Jaded" so much. Definitely their best song yet, with the follow-up, "Fly Away From Here" being a close second.

I got sick of this when it was out. I haven't listened to it recently, but I'd probably like it more now.

I didn't like it. It was really annoying.

I loved this song when it first came out. On my retroactive charts, I put this for a debut around #21 on my second chart ever (January 13, 2001). That accomplishment has since been outdone only twice. I don't know why, but for some reason, the song just clicked with me when I first heard it. I remember the very day, which was January 5, 2001. I heard it on WPLJ, Z100 (twice), and Q104 (classic rock) all within 30 minutes, and I knew I loved it. Maybe I was still in a bit of a classic rock mode and that helped out the song. Nonetheless, to this day, I still enjoy it on the off occasion it gets played somewhere. I thought the follow-up "Fly Away From Here" didn't deserve to falter as it did. Yeah, didn't they join in with 'N Sync when they were singing "It's Gonna Be Me"? Rick Dees played that part of Superbowl on his show when going into "Jaded" back on this very weekend in 2001. For some reason I remember this. This was when WPLJ still aired the pop version of Rick Dees, about a month or so before they switched to the Hot AC version. I had WPLJ on my alarm clock, and I wake up at 6:50 on Saturdays. I believe they had "Jaded" at #20, and then "This I Promise You" at #19 (for which I promptly shoved my head under the pillow to avoid hearing the song). I forget what #18 was though, but I listened to that song before getting up and eating breakfast. Wow, I can't get over that all this happened three years ago. It seems like such a long time now.

I forget what #18 was though, but I listened to that song before getting up and eating breakfast. Yeah, that was around the time I started getting ready to go to church for the first time in ten years. When I attended Bethel College at the beginning of the 1990s, even though it was a religious affiliated school and church attendance was expected of all students, I was very lax in going. In fact, the number of times I went (excluding the times the concert choir I was in performed at a service) could probably be counted on one hand. I seemed to take advantage of the fact that going to church wasn't required and ended up going to either Mattress Missionary or Bedside Baptist. But today, on the other hand, my church attendance is perfect. If I know that I'm going to be busy on any Sunday, I go to the preceding Thursday night service (or the following one if it's a last minute decision not to go on Sunday). It has pretty much put an end to taping all my favorite songs off the show, but that's OK, especially now that I know I can get pretty much any show I wnat on tape. Well, we've strayed way off topic. Back to the opinions of "Jaded"...

It's alright. Had some Zeppelinesque riffs in it.

It was just ok, although I did like the bridge. Can't believe this was their last hit on CHR/Pop.

Do you mean their last Top Ten hit? They did have a few others, including "Fly Away From Here" (which I believe peaked somewhere in the 20s) and "Girls Of Summer", which just barely charted in the summer of 2003.

I mean their last actual hit. I know they had a few more entires on the chart after "Jaded" but those weren't hits.

Jaded got to #7 on the Hot 100 in 2001 and the group soon shot their career in the foot with their lame half-time show with N'Sync

I think this is my favorite song from the 2000's. This is their only Billboard Hot100 hit in the 2000's too. (peaked at #7)
Hey J-J-J-Jaded You've got your mama's style but you're yesterday's child to me So Jaded You think that's where it's at but is that where it's supposed to be? You're gettin' it all over me X-rated
CHORUS My, my, baby blue (Yeah I'm thinkin' 'bout you) My, my, baby blue Yeah, you're so Jaded And I'm the one that Jaded you
Hey J-J-J-Jaded In all it's misery it will always be what I love and hated And maybe take a ride to the other side we're thinkin' of We'll slip into the velvet glove And be Jaded
CHORUS (w/) Yeah, I'm so Jaded And baby I'm afraid of you
BRIDGE You're thinkin' so complicated I've had it all up to here But it's so overrated Love and hate it Wouldn't trade it Love Me Jaded
Hey J-J-J-Jaded There ain't no "baby please" when I'm shootin' the breeze with her When everything you see is a blur And ecstasy's what you prefer
CHORUS
(w/) (Blue, blue, blue, Yeah) (I'm talkin' 'bout you) (Blue, blue, blue, blue Yeah) (Yeah, been thinkin' 'bout you) My, my, baby blue Yeah, you're so Jaded (Baby) Jaded (Baby) You're so Jaded 'Cause I'm the one that Jaded you

Great song! Easily one of my favorite songs of 2001!
The chorus of this song reminds me of the chorus of Jude Cole's mid-chart hit from early 1991, "House Full Of Reasons".
