This song was great, talk about that album; amazing. Still a classic to a lot of people I know. That album was HEAVILY underrated.

Great song, and I thought it was a smart single choice for pleasing the people that were turned off by how jarring "What About Us?" was.

Her best song. Amazing amazing A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Mike City at his best.

It enjoy this more than "What About Us". I still think it's the better single.

I love this song! Although I'm not a fan of the version they've put on Spotify

I love this song! Although I'm not a fan of the version they've put on Spotify That's the Cutfather & Joe remix. It's on the international version of her greatest hits, while the US version uses the album version. Because of that I always wondered if European radio played the remix instead of the album version. It's probably an error that it's on the Spotify version of the Full Moon album, though.

Her best song. Amazing amazing A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Mike City at his best. I have to agree. Not the best per se but it is Top 5 hands down. The vocal layering was just on another level on this track, especially on the 2nd verse onwards where it sounded like auto-tune but it was just her vocals overlapped to create the same effect. It was undoubtedly the best single from that album. What happened to Mike City and that Philly Soul he used to serve us? Seems he went the same way of other R&B producers like Rich Harrison.

Such an amazing single, this should've been HUGE for her. It defines the "Brandy sound" imo.

I kinda like this song. It's a hundred times better than that other single What About Us? The production on Full Moon is tolerable and it's less clunky. This was Brandy's last major hit and a good one at that.

The album/single version is okay but I do prefer her 90s material ("I Wanna Be Down", "Baby", etc). The Full Intention house remix, however, is great and I heard it during a house mix set on B96 back in 2002. full intention remix www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArhQZcUTkZU

I didn't get this song at first, I thought it was rather boring. It grew on me a lot when the (excellent) video was released.
I love this song and its smooth vibe. It makes me feel good. The adlibs are really great.
It had great remixes too. The Cutfather & Joe remix is my favorite, I still listen to it a lot. The Soulchild remix and the one with Fat Joe were really cute.

Full Moon should have been the lead single, What About Us should've been the promotional single (if the album even had a promotional single I can't remember.)

This song is just gorgeous and lush. It's one of her best, yet it's very underrated. She needs to work with Mike City for an entire album.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CavFBILPNQk Interesting that this went from almost not even making the album to the label choosing it as the second single because the rest of the album was so jarring to people (at the time).

Why did this not blow up? Was it a lack of promotion due to her pregnancy?

Interesting that this went from almost not even making the album to the label choosing it as the second single because the rest of the album was so jarring to people (at the time). Was the album jarring? I don't remember, but apart from a couple songs there isn't anything too wild. I am surprised "Full Moon" didn't make the album because it seems like one of the most obvious singles on there. I like a lot of the other songs, but they don't scream 'single' to me.

In terms of her sound before the album, it was definitely seen as jarring. Never Say Never in particular was very slick and polished. Full Moon just had … a lot going on. Not every song though.
