Horrible. My least favorite ballad she's ever released as a single.

It helped me when I was really depressed and it gave me some inspiration. I don't care if that's cheesy, but I have to love it for that.
I don't wanna hate on it but it does have bad production and the cut/paste sound of the vocals is really annoying.

I don't think CB was all that bad yes the vocals were weak as was the production but I still like most of the song. Including this one. Great song

Don't really like the album version... I enjoy the radio edit better.

I own all her albums. I really love Mariah's album, and when I bought it, I took in some old Cd's and said to trash them, and they gave me a $2 discount. I almost couldn't buy Charmbracelet, so I was grateful. I like The Emancipation of Mimi, but I have more of a connection with Charmbracelet, and often find myself reverting back to it. Mariah didn't whisper; she was using airy vocals probably due to the type of song (e.g. ballad, soul, etc.) and also, if her vocals were airy, it could be because she was hoarse. Often, if a singer's voice is hoarse, it instinctively makes them necessitate more air than needed to produce vocal tone. I do think that Mariahβs voice has matured, and I enjoy the husky tone on this album.

The theme of this song is very good, but the vocals and production are horrible. I'm glad the song performed well outside of the US though.

Horrible. My least favorite ballad she's ever released as a single. LMAO. I love my old comments. This is still one of her weaker ballad singles, but I like it more now than I did then. The build-up is nice and I like the melody of the verses. What's really disappointing to me is the remix with Joe and Kelly Price. Easily her worst Urban/R&B re-do of one of her singles.

This is generic, sappy, and quite inferior to previous Mariah songs of the same sentiment, such as "Hero," but I still think it's pleasant. *dodges tomatoes*
It did much better in Europe than the Hot 100 where it bombed. The video is one of Mariah's best tbh.

I love the Soda Club remix. It's uplifting and high energy in all the right ways.
The Maurice Joshua mix had additional backing vocals that were recorded just for it by Andrea Love, Byron Stingily, Donica Thornton, Jocelyn Winston, Kim English, and Latanza Waters.

This one came out around the same time I started high school, which I considered to be very traumatizing and of the darkest moments of my life, so this song still resonates on me.
I remember seeing the video on TRL.
