"Don't you want somebody to love Don't you need somebody to love Wouldn't you love somebody to love You better find somebody to love"
This was featured in the movie "Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas" and also became a horrible remixed hit in the UK early this year. In its original form it's a classic. I love the womans voice.

I love it!
Jim Carrey also did a humorous version in The Cable Guy.

This is from JA's 'Surrealistic Pillow' LP, to my mind the group's finest effort. I love this track and the acid-rock classic White Rabbit. Great pick!
Incidentally, the "woman" mentioned above is none other than Grace Slick. What an unmistakable voice. How wasted it was in the later years.

This tune got to #5 on the Hot 100 in 1967 and was a hit remake for Boogie Pimps in 2004

Good song! I loved Patrice Pike's performance of this on Rockstar Supernova. :)

The post above reminds me of how inferior Patrice's version was to the original, lol. I loved Rockstar Supernova, but man did some of those contestants fuck up great songs. Anyways, great song and this reminds me I need to also get a little deeper into Jefferson Airplane's catalogue one of these days.

I absolutely adore this song. Surrealistic Pillow was on the best albums of the sixties. I also enjoy the original version of Boogie Pimps' cover from 2003 which cuts in dialogue from Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas.

Tremendous record. Possibly my favorite song from that year.
