All of Heart's 80s hits were good. This one didn't get the pub it deserved compared to their other songs.

Reaching #10 on the Hot 100 and #14 on R&R, this put the "new" Heart into business.
Imo, Ann Wilson's opening vocals are beautifully haunting on this song.

It was so popular that they decided to re-issue this in the UK in the spring of 1988. I was on a field trip when I saw my girly classmates singing the song. They were reading "Smash Hits" magazine where the lyrics of the song appeared. I really did not care for the song, but I prefer their other singles from that self-titled LP #1 LP "Heart".

Classic power ballad and I love the soaring vocals.

they sound great, but I never got the love for this. I thought Alone and quite a few others were way better.

Whenever I see this song used in that Heinz ad, it wrecks me.
This was Heart’s big 80s comeback single, the best was yet to come.
It has a Canadian connection too.
It was co-written by Jim Vallance who is better known as the songwriting partner of Bryan Adams and it was originally recorded by Canadian group, Toronto in 1982.
