I was watching the '98 movie 54 a couple nights ago and I noticed this song. It's one of those forgotten classics. Hailing from Martinique, these three brothers had a string of hits overseas and in the clubs here. "Que Sera Mi Vida" was their 3rd single to chart in the U.S. It peaked at number 8 in the U.S in 1980 on the Club Play chart. This one had the same Euro-Disco sound found in Village People's "YMCA." I assume that's the chart position on the Disco chart? Pretty sure "Cuba" was their only Hot 100 success.
This is a cool song. The Gibson Brothers formula worked well for them.

Que Sie Mi Vida didn't make the Top 40! Did Gibson Brothers "Cuba" make the Hot 100 in 1979?

Que Sie Mi Vida didn't make the Top 40! Did Gibson Brothers "Cuba" make the Hot 100 in 1979? This is another reason why we shouldn't trust WikiPedia for chart positions! According to AllMusic.com, this song peaked at 8 on the Club Play Singles chart. "Cuba" peaked at 9 on the Club Play chart and at 81 on the Hot 100.
