Do you remember the late 1974-early 1975 disco Top 10 hit for Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes called "Get Dancin'"?

"Here comes DJ Disco Tex trucking with his Sex-O-Lettes"
Kinda fun song. I like it.

"...Rock the Boat, Machine Gun and Loco-mote, get dancin'..."
I don't know if it was a novelty early disco record.

Truly awful!
In the disco era, there were some songs I really liked, and others I couldn't stand. Unfortunately, this was one of the bad disco tunes - right up there (or down there) with "Disco Duck", and "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy".

Disco Tex's follow up sequel to "Get Dancin'" in 1975 was "I Wanna Dance With You".

The Pet Shop Boys referenced this group on the track 'Electricity' on their Bilingual album.
"It's the greatest show With the best effects Since Disco Tex And The Sex-O-Lettes"

It's catchy. I liked it when I heard it on The Simpsons.

one of the more interesting hits from the early days of disco. in a way it is almost a forerunner to rap with the talking over the disco background.
