This one is just a classic... hit #5 in 1989 in Billboard....
We were very lucky here in L.A. as this was when Pirate Radio was really hitting it's stride when this came out, so we got to hear it a lot... I still play it a lot even to this day.

I like it. He was blind, no? I think you're right as I recall he indeed is blind.

^^ Yeah , he lost his sight when he was one year old. Naturally he has his own very distinctive playing style , with the guitar laying on his lap. He also plays clarinet and trumpet. He is a very well respected blues guitarist.

Too bad Jeff Healey was a one hit wonder on the Pop Charts. He should have at least a top 40 follow-up

Great song! He really had a talent for the blues, and songs like this show it well.
May he R.I.P. :(

I think the Jeff Healey's Band biggest claim to fame, however, is playing the part of the house band on Road House. It's not every day you can say you provided the soundtrack while Patrick Swayze kicked some serious bad redneck ass!

I could be wrong, but I don't think I've ever heard a Jeff Healey song on local radio. But I've got two of his albums. Great stuff!
