Nope. Shakira's HDL has the record through billboards pop chart and this is going to smash that record very very soon.

WTH? 200 increase in spins and bullet when its capped at #1 and has pretty damn near max spins on the entire top 50 list? *Cough*payola*cough* (how does it feel?) Ok I'll make a deal with you Bee fans, if this song isn't recieving some hawt payola than "Hurt" never did either. Till then LOL at that 400 spin increase in 48 hours @ 9400ish spins on Tuesday. LW: Dec 7 - Dec 13 TW: Dec 14 - Dec 20 Updated: Thu Dec 21 3:56 AM PST Rank Mediabase Sortable Stats™ - Click any Blue Header Spins Aud. /mill lw TW Artist Title TW lw Move 2 1 BEYONCE Irreplaceable 9866 8634 1232 74.817 1 2 JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE My Love (f/T.I.) 8479 8747 -268 56.749 3 3 FRAY How To Save A Life 7768 7761 7 57.434 5 4 AKON Smack That (f/Eminem... 7522 7367 155 54.840 6 5 FERGIE Fergalicious 7428 7355 73 52.818 With competition for this song sucking and no one in sight till #10 that seems worthy of taking the #1 spot - this song can reign till Feburary and if they work it right might be the largest spinned song since they did the panel changes. Ok here's the deal with that whole 'record' stuff. Firstly the largest spinned song SINCE the Big Panel change almost 4 years ago on Mediabase is "Promiscous" by Nelly Furtado scoring 10300ish spins vs HDL's 10150ish. HDL only set a record on Billboards inflated and jacked up chart #'s (something like 15,000ish). The record previous to that change is indeed Lady Marmalade (But keep in mind before the panel changes the #1 songs were common to have 12-13k spins). So if Bee breaks 10300ish spins ON MEDIABASE (which it looks DAMN likely right now with the bullet AND Day by Day is suddenly going back up by the hundred fold, which isn't fishy one bit btw! ) then she will have had a record since the changes, which can be arguable for the record of all time (You'd have to divide stations and spins and it would take a lifetime not to mention be pretty inaccurate) I have no idea about the Billboard, just Mediabase... BTW: Hollaback girl peaked @ 9598 spins, not even close (even though it seemed like it was more huh??)

I don't think it's payola. I doubt they'd waste their money on that when she's releasing TWO more singles after this and the song is already past 200M. If it's true though, that's incredibly stupid. I think this song is just a big success on its own.

I don't think it is payola. One way where you can tell if something is payola is if the song is top 10 on airplay but no one is buying the song or album. Like Mario Vasquez for example. That song got to #6 on pop, but no one was buying the song or his album. Whats with that? Hurt is a different story, but I think there might have been a little bit of payola in there. But its hard to say. But with this song, I haven't met one person who dislikes it. Plus its #1 on downloads and everything. So I doubt this is payola.

All top 10 songs that have been accused of the P word are big successes on their own. Your right this IS a different situation than 'Hurt' - why its perfectly genius to do a label push where NO one would question it cuz everyone likes the song, so it wouldn't be stupid at all. Sorry 400 spin increase in 2 days when it is at peaking point is just plain fishy. Everyone loved "WBT and SUBG" too and called it for that, so why not Irreplaceable, especially knowing the run of "Deja Vu"? Its not like its out of the question. The "Far Away and TLTL" situations were a little different since they were fighting for #1 and this song really didnt have to fight as the #1 song before it "My Love" was already losing spins. That's why I say either all of em got payola or none did. I wanna believe none and trust me I am a big Bee fan so I'm not hatin. "Check On It" was the FIRST song I memorized since "My Happy Ending". I was seemingly the ONLY one that loved "Deja Vu" - especially the video. I LOVED Bee's angry singing in "Ring The Alarm" and of course I love "Irreplaceable". I'm just sick of everyone calling payola so I thought I'd bring it back, the situations aren't that far off yet its not ok cuz everyone likes this song? Uh ok lol, and no one liked the songs in the past that were accused...yah ok P.S. Guess what song just came on?

I really doubt there was payola involved with Irreplaceable.... the song is heavily requested on the radio (at least at Z100 and Power 105 it is, which are market leaders in their formats), and it has the sales to back up the popularity of the song.
I think the song will die down fast tho... I think after Jan, many of the big stations will not put it in such high rotations as it is in now, and see it as a song of the year before. But who knows.

Oh it better have longevity in Jan or I call the "P" word till it dies With that much of a bullet increase and day by day increase when its already fricken #1 this better be a 8 week reign and last on top 20 for 3 months, so serious right now.

Yes, if it drops like a rock. I will call the P word with you. The only way would be if the duet with Shakira is so hott radio decides to play it instead. But still, you wouldn't think they would just drop this one because of that.

Yeah it definately will! The only real threat I could image is What Goes Around..., but that is SO far away and it may not even get that high. Or if Promise takes off at pop which would be nice, but by then rythmic and urban would be done.

I think this song is just a big success on its own. Exactly. This one is testing well, it's selling well, it's even crossing over to Hot AC on it's own... In other words, ONE GINORMOUS SMASH!

Go Bee! Get those #1.
Shakira still has the record.
I remember she hit 9900+ before the chart change again and help Nelly who's about 9600+ to be 10500+.
If the chart has changed while Shakira was still on the top she would be @ 10800+.

Sorry 400 spin increase in 2 days when it is at peaking point is just plain fishy. Let's put things in perspective. 400 spin increase over 2 days = +1400 bullet in a week (7 days). Which was pretty much the rate the song was gaining the whole time. It slowed down a little when it hit 9000, but getting 400 spins more over 2 days, just means it picked up a little speed. It didn't pick up the 400 spins out of nowhere you know. ETA: What are the 12 charts it's #1 on?
