Anyone remember this classic? This song was very far before it's time. Donna and Giorgio Moroder did some great work together. The 12" mix is where it's at.
One of my fave Donna songs.

One of the most important, groundbreaking, influential records of all time.
It pretty much invented techno music

It's so simple, yet so addictive. Who did the 1995 remix?

I Feel Love reached #6 on the Pop chart in 1977 and help her become one of the biggest music acts of the late 70's

David Bowie's account of Brian Eno's reaction to "I Feel Love": One day in Berlin ... Eno came running in and said, 'I have heard the sound of the future.' ... he puts on 'I Feel Love', by Donna Summer ... He said, 'This is it, look no further. This single is going to change the sound of club music for the next fifteen years.' Which was more or less right. BINGO.

Dance music was never the same after this. An absolutely brilliant record. Trivia note: They used a leather whip on concrete to create that "whipping" sound part-way through the song.

This is being inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress this year.
She'll probably be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (FINALLY) next year too. They always get recognized AFTER they're gone...

She had a few other singles I personally prefer over this, but this is undoubtedly her most important one. It didn't even need that long of a time to truly have its impact felt, as the Human League made an entire album from synthesizers only a few years later. It's a true turning point in Popular Music, forever.
