Amazing track from The White Stripes' album of the year nominated, Elephant. This is my favorite song on the record and it really takes me back to the spring of '03. The bass in this song is killer!

I've always thought this song was somewhat overrated. I love most of their other songs, especially "Fell In Love With A Girl" and "Dead Leaves...", but this one did nothing for me.

Awesome song. And I agree with Hector about the bass on this track.

This song literally took years to grow on me. I still don't really like it, and I agree, it's overrated. I like "Fell In Love With a Girl" though.

It is great, even though that's not a bass, apparently. Funny thing is that I have the sheet music for Elephant which also claims that it uses bass (it's really octave guitar). I like the minimalist vibe of the song. Also my favorite song on the album.
The album was pretty solid, but so is every other Stripes album.
It's kind of hard for me to not say something positive about this band.

I guess I'm in the minority here...I don't like "FILWAG" at all (I find it really annoying) and I much much MUCH prefer "Seven Nation Army", as well as every other single they've released from their last two albums.

No, I agree with you. "Fell In Love With A Girl" is just alright for me. I actually like Joss Stone's "Fell In Love With A Boy" better

It is great, even though that's not a bass, apparently (it's really octave guitar). And other than serious guitarists, who the hell even knows what that means? I really like this song and all, but it's still in the burnout phase for me. The fact that radio won't leave it alone (and that it's also just two years old) causes me to not consider this "nostalgia" yet. Hector does have a tendency to jump the gun on nostalgia, though.

Hector does have a tendency to jump the gun on nostalgia, though. LOL. I was actually split on whether to post it or not because I thought that it might be too soon for some. I don't think I do it all the time though, this is the most recent of the songs that i've posted and after that I think it's Jewel's "Standing Still" which is '01

I have yet to hear anything from WS that I don't like at least somewhat. SNA is one of my favorites, but my overall favorite from 'Elephant' is Ball & Biscuit.
I also like the Joss Stone cover of Fell In Love... a lot, but I wouldn't say it's better than the original. I absolutely love both versions.

The fact that radio won't leave it alone (and that it's also just two years old) Our station rarely plays it now. Heck, they played it when they were looking for something different to play.

I have mixed feelings about the video. It was interesting and seemed very creative at first, but after you've watched it a few times it starts to grate on the nerves. There's a vertigo-inducing quality to it that isn't obvious at first.

It's probably not my favorite White Stripes music video at all (my least favorite of the Elephant videos), but I do like it a lot. There really is an elephant and I like how that triangle seemingly reflects among the point of the black table or whatever.
I love the new vid of theirs, in a different way.

I loved the bass of that song, and their bass improved with "Blue Orchid".

#1 for 2003 on the now-changed format of WXRK, K-Rock. Ok but VERY overplayed. This used to be on every 10 mintues in 2003.

Love it.
"White Blood Cells" is their best album IMO, and several of my favorites by them are on there, but you can't go wrong with this song either.

Yeah, that's definitely one of my faves on "Elephant", along with SNA and "Ball and Biscuit".
