Do you remember the 1980-1981 song "The Glow of Love" by Change? Luther Vandross sang lead vocals on this song, but did it make Billboard's Hot 100 chart?

I dunno about the charts but I remember the song. It was tremendously overshadowed by another single from that album (much better in my opinion): A Lover's Holiday, one of the best songs of the disco era.

Apparently, it only peaked at #49 on the Black Singles chart at the time, while it didn't enter the Hot 100. Amazing song IMO.

Good song. It was sampled by Janet Jackson on her 2001 hit "All For You".

Loved this.
Hit #1 on the dance chart along with "A Lover's Holiday" and "Searching".

This is the first time listening to the sample that Janet had used for "All For You". She has great taste! Love it!
Never knew Luther sang leads to this.

Often heard this during old school mixes on WGCI (and later V103 and defunct 103.5 Jammin' Oldies) when I was younger. At the time, I didn't know Luther Vandross' career started in the early 80s as I was more used to his 1989-onward tracks (I had heard "Here and Now" and several of his big ballads on the AC stations but wasn't too familiar with his 80s R&B hits). Janet Jackson sampling this particular song is another factor in my familiarly over it. This was probably my favorite Change song with Luther on lead vocals though I also liked "Searching". "A Lover's Holiday" is another good song by this group but Luther doesn't sing lead on that one.
