Idk always had a soft spot for this actually, Evita generally speaking was great and this is one of the many reasons why it was for me.

When this came out, I bought every single import version of the single I could find. I was obsessed. It's faded a bit for me, but I still appreciate the effort Madonna put into making this song a big hit.

It was great that Madonna was able to take a Broadway classic into the top 10. I really do enjoy the Miami mix and still play it on occasion.

its really strange listening to this now and imagining a song like this hitting the top 10 nowadays. I enjoy it for what it was, but it is not pinnacle Madonna by any means. On the spectrum of her 37 top 10's, this is near the bottom. I can't think of a top 10 that was worse than this, maybe Hanky Panky or Rescue Me, or Keep It Together.

I think Madonna made this classic broadway showtune as a mainstream hit that people remember to this day...she deserves being recognised by that.

This is fun, but agreed that's not essential Madonna or anything.
I was a college senior when it was out, and liked seeing it reach the top five on Billboard's Hot 100 Airplay chart. Pop favored the Miami Mix, while AC played the orchestral version. I'd think that Hot AC favored the Miami Mix?

The original makes me sleepy, but I love the Miami Mix.

In terms of the album version, it's a very lovely rendition (probably my fav version). But I definitely only revisit the Miami Mix, super fun. I can't believe she made a club mix of a Broadway song a worldwide hit, some of the stuff she pulled off on the charts really is unbelievable.
The club mixes of "Buenes Aires" were great too. A shame that didn't get the full single treatment.

Not the type of songs I would normally listen to, but it's a very nice song. She sounds really good here.

I'm more used to the dance remix than the album/main version. Decent but I prefer several other Madonna songs over it.
