One of her #1 Disco-era hits, sampled by JD for Monica's "First night", one of the only times the sampled song was better... but this is still pretty cool. It's the best of her Disco songs.

As I've said before, I hate most of her solo material but if I had to pick her best upbeat song, I'd give it to this one.

Good song. I like Monica's "The First Night" better though.

Right up there with "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" for me. One of the classics of the disco era.

This is a really great song -- there's an eight-minute version of this song that's out of this world. One of the rockinest beats of the disco era if you ask me.

The slow intro was sampled for Monica's hit, the main song was sampled on Heavy D's "The Lovers Got What They Need" in 1991. This is a really great song -- there's an eight-minute version of this song that's out of this world. One of the rockinest beats of the disco era if you ask me. Yeah, the extended mix is the bomb!

I read where Diana was reluctant to do this song at 1st because she couldn't get into disco music all that much. After all, her thing was '60s-styled Motown R&B, and disco was a big change for her.
She agreed to give "Love Hangover" a try, and when the slow intro segued way into the disco part, she really got into it. Her laugh toward the end of the song was not rehearsed - that was really her laughing at how much fun she was having in the studio recording this song.
She recorded more disco songs in 1980 - "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out" - proving that she could be a real disco diva just like Donna Summer.

This is one of my fave solo tracks from Diana. This was just so sexy. The 11 minute Disconet Remix is a lot steamier. A new updated mix featuring Diana's original vocals was just released on promo. It keeps the slow part at the beginning and the fast part is done in the same style as the original, but it's a little more modern sounding. She recorded more disco songs in 1980 - "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out" - proving that she could be a real disco diva just like Donna Summer. During that time, Donna Summer (as well as many other artists) had done songs that were slow at the beginning and then suddenly become fast.

Never could get into this one. I like the Fifth Dimension version slightly better than Diana's but neither one really thrills me.

This is my favorite from Ms. Ross! ITs so sexy and seductive! Diana really put on some sexy and vocals for this track. its truly a classic number and an amazing track. I can really see Janet Jackson remaking this, her seductive smoothe vocals would be a perfect match.
#1 Across The Board! :o

Love HangerHangover, Blue lol
This is my favorite from Diana, too. And Janet sampled this already ("My Need" from Velvet Rope).

LOL! I know what u mean. I would be the ULTIMATE baby making song. She could just do the slow part, and not the disco ending. It would be so orgasmic! :o But i digress.....

One of my all-time favorites by Ms. Ross. Monica sampled this too and had a #1 across the board hit with "The First Night".

Will Smith also used it for his 1999 single "Freakin It", which is mainly one pf the reasons I liked his song. Yes I agree this is a bonafide classic.

Interesting: I read about this song in some Billboard book of #1 hits. Did you know that Diana improvised this song as she went along???
That's incredible!
I know they edited it down to a short version for the single and a longer version for the album. But it amazes me that this was done on the fly.

Can't say I'm a big fan of this song. Fifth Dimension version is tolerable. Ross's is slightly less so. Don't find either to be thrilling.

The Boss is my fav. D. Ross song, but this would be in my top three for overall Diana songs. It's amazing.
