A great song from the 90s. She was a one hit wonder...this soared all the way to #2 in October in 1998

I liked this song a lot, and I still enjoy it. It doesn't try to be anything it's not, and it's really catchy. I liked her pure pop style of that song better than the bland "These Days". One reason the song peaked at the same place as my personal chart as on pop was because I loved to listen to pop radio, too. If I still had that radio station (KRBE), I would've been a pophead for a little bit longer.

I loved it. It would have been a definite #1 on my chart. Unfortunately, I've never liked anything else she ever put out and her album was a waste of money.

Yay! I'm glad somebody started a thread on this song, cause I was about to. Anywho, this song is a classic for me. I remember the first time i heard it back in '98 I was instantly hooked. I went and bought her album later on and although her songs were not up to par with Crush, she has pretty strong vocals and could have been the milder version of Christina. I remember her second single was Always You, which I'm guessing pretty much flopped. Coincidentally, it was a nice ballad, but I preferred Between You and Me.
Does anybody remember the video, though? I recall the object of Jennifer's affection was the guy who played one of the jocks in the movie Never Been Kissed, and he was shown riding a car, but I don't remember the rest.

A great song. When this first came out, I really thought it would be the breakthrough single of her career...I never thought this would be her only hit. Cool song though..

That's not the single cover. I should know. I bought it and sold it for 10 cent toward my Furby savings.

When I wanted to buy this single back in 1998 I could never find it. I like this song alot because the melody, arrangement and vocals are so simple. I wish she had recorded more songs like this one.

I didn't even know this was not a dance song until I saw the video on "Friday Night." Y100 always played the remix. I love both versions though.

I didn't even know this was a ballad until I saw the video on "Friday Night." Y100 always played the remix. I love both versions though. A friend of mine lived in Miami up until 1999 and had the same issue. She heard the original version of the song on the radio up here once while she was with me and was like "What the hell is this?" I don't even remember how the remix sounds, but I remember liking it better than the original at the time.

I don't remember a ballad version. I've heard two different mixes of the song; one's mid-tempo and the other is more upbeat.

This is one of my favourite songs of all time - I LOVE IT! It's so breezy and catchy, the perfect pop song. I was obsessed with this song for the longest time, still kinda am.
Her debut album was bland (but I liked "Always You").
Her 2nd album, however, is incredible. It's such an undiscovered gem - every song is great.

Are some people confusing "Always You" with "Crush"? "Always you" was the one with a ballad version plus a dance version.
Jennifer Paige is very good. I really like "Stranded," "These Days," "Always You" and of course, "Crush".

I loved this song. If I were charting back then, this would have been a #1, I'm almost certain of that. Very catchy. Her CD is good, IMO. I only got it this year ( ), but it still proves that she's very talented. I love her voice.

This is probably one of my favorite songs from the 90s. The David Morales remix is good too.

Her debut album was bland (but I liked "Always You"). Her 2nd album, however, is incredible. It's such an undiscovered gem - every song is great. Jennifer Paige's "Crush" would happen to be MY #1 ALL-TIME favorite song!!! It spent 20 weeks at #1 on my personal chart back in '98... and I still play it almost every day... I still hear it at least 4-5 times a weekl! "Questions" should have been the 2nd single off of her debut album... very catchy, though not nearly as much as "Crush" of course... "Always You" (both versions) is good as well.... Not releasing "Questions" as a single was the first in an ENDLESS series of errors by her former record company, Hollywood Records... Yes, the 2nd album, "Positively Somewhere" is indeed an "undiscovered gem"!!! "Stranded" and "Here With Me" both should have been singles... "These Days" was probably one of worst songs on the entire CD, yet Hollywood Records released it as Jennifer's first (and only) U.S. single off that album... Thankfully, she is no longer with Hollywood and is working on a 3rd album which hopefully will come out in 2006...

It was one of my favourite songs from that year... too bad the follow-up "Sober" didn't do too well. I hope she has a hit again in the future. I actually thought "These Days" was catchy.

"Sober" was a decent song, but not nearly as good as "Always You" or "Questions"... "These Days" isn't a bad song at all, just relative to the rest of the CD, it wasn't the best single choice... the whole "Positively Somewhere" album is REALLY good... it's just too bad the record company really botched up promoting it... Jen's working on some new stuff, but I'm not certain as to when anything new is coming out... on my wish list for 2006 is definitely a new Jennifer Paige album...

Great upbeat song. It spent six weeks at #1 on my chart but then took a quick dive down at which point I got tired of it.
