What do you all think of this classic song from their third LP?

This was a jam, I did like it. But I don't know whether I'd use the word "classic." I don't think it's the song they'll be remembered by, nor do I think the song itself will be remembered in 20 years.

One of my very favorite songs of all time. Back when this came out I had a strange obsession with songs had "rain" in the title. But this one takes the cake. It's a shame it wasn't a bigger hit. I always got annoyed with the track after this on the album. I can't remember the name, but I know it had Lil' Kim on it. It just didn't fit after this song.
Peace, Ben

Rain reached #25 in 1998 and was the group's last top 40 hit

I heard this late last night when I was driving home. "Rain" is a beautiful ballad that showcases their harmonizing abilities. Brilliant! I miss SWV!!!
This track was one of the few bright spots on Release Some Tension.

I still wish this was a bigger hit than it was. I have an affinity toward songs about rain for some odd reason. And this was the beginning of that trend.
Michael Moog's remix of this was a pretty decent dance mix. It was nothing compared to the original though.

This did fairly well on the R&B charts....I have no idea where it charted on the Hot 100.

Great song and classic SWV. It peaked at #25 on the hot 100 and at #7 on the R&B/hip-hop chart.

Yeah it was one of the beneficiaries of the 99 cent cassingle back in those days. Still it's one of their best songs post It's About Time era.....

This was one of their best singles. I wish it would have gotten more attention at Pop, but it is what it is. For fans of real R&B, this was one of the best from that era.

Chingy sampled the beat in one of his songs.

This is definitely one of their most underappreciated tracks when you compare it to their debut singles. I've always loved this slow jam.

My second favorite SWV single. "Weak" is my favorite, and "Can We" is a close third.
