I don't even like Michelle Branch that much, but I really like this song. I have no idea why it didn't do better.
Plus, I thought the video was really creative and well done.

Besides this song and her song with Santana, I don't really care for Michelle either. The way she enunciates things is weird and it drives me nuts. She doesn't sing weird on either of these tracks, so I liked them. This is another case which had GREAT remixes too. I especially loved what Dave Hernandez did with this one.
Peace, Ben

Yeah, her voice usually bugs the crap out of me.
Not on this song, though.
I have to check out the remixes, haven't heard them yet.

I loved all of her singles up until "Til I Get Over You". This and "The Game Of Love" are my favorite singles by her though. I was kind of surprised it flopped. I definitely think it's her catchiest hook.

lol at everyone's favourite singles being this and "The Game of Love". Those are the two that I don't like.

Yeah, this song is so overrated. Her worst single.
I've liked all of Michelle's singles at the time, but the only one that's really stuck with I think is "Goodbye To You". "All You Wanted" is still a good song but I've heard it way too many times.
I actually liked "Til I Get Over You", just not as a single. When I first heard Hotel Paper that and "Empty Handed" were my favorite tracks.

To me, Goodbye to you, Everywhere, All you Wanted... they're all disposable and not enjoyable. Plus I think whatever quality irritates me about her voice is accentuated in those songs.
This one's upbeat and happy. And she doesn't sound annoying.

I don't know why this wasn't bigger. It's so catchy! I think it was just released at the wrong time.

This song deserved to do much better, most people really liked this song, this song was playing at the store and the cashier was singing it to herself.

This was released too late in the year to do anything chart-significant as far as year end stuff was concerned, and once the whole OutKast "Hey Ya" wave hit, and people remembering that Michelle Branch had just had a hit with "Are You Happy Now", this one was destined to fall by the wayside. It was pretty much dropped by the beginning of 2004.
That said, I really like this song. Very catchy hook.

Okay, so I did buy the CD-Single and I love it even more, even though the song is from 2002 or 2003.

I like it, but I thought this song was way overrated by this board. People were expecting this to spend months at #1. It was good, but not that good.

Wow, I can't believe this song was so praised on these boards. It wasn't THAT great. It was pretty average to me. My favourite song by her is "All You Wanted."

I thought this was her most catchiest song. Definitely one of my faves from her and I'm still wondering how this didn't even at the very least make the top 10 on pop. I remember hearing it practically everywhere!

My favorite off Hotel Paper. I preferred the singles off her first album more though.

Of all three "Breathe" songs which hit the Top 40 in 2003, this was my least favorite.
1) Telepopmusik 2) Blu Cantrell 3) Michelle Branch
